Need help... new grower

I find this whole thing difficult to follow........the posts are vague at best.
Why would you add epsom salt if you're already adding a calmag supplement?
The only reasons you would get root rot is lack of oxygen to the roots or the temp in the reservoir is too high.

Sounds like a bit of too much going on there. Not sure why you would dim the light so low assuming plant is growing based on your feet demands…

root rot? Symptom of a bad habit.
What’s your median there??
sounds like you’d be a good fit with a more simple approach with just quality soil and maybe a one part nutrient. If you like GH they have floraNOVA grow and bloom and you can’t beat it for its simplicity and effectiveness. No mad scientist stuff. Just feeding a living breathing organism a bit ole food.
Either way pictures are helpful for folks trying to give advice.
I lowered the light cause it was sick

I agree, you do need to simplify. Too many additives, too complicated, too much going on just to grow a weed. I suggest soil or coco coir DTW.

edited for typo
coco is what caused all this I started seeds in coco that's how I got deficient I didn't know you had to buffer it first now I'm behind on cal/mag and deficient.

I think the root rot is a big issue. Might be worth a shot to trim worse part of roots then plant in buffered coco/ perlite and feed every day to run off with simple formula. If you were planning to kill anyways, what’s the harm?

Ok I think she is pulling through the main branch and stems are going back to green and not purple and is perking back up. Rot appears to be gone I'm going to wait a day or two to see how she does and keep an eye on new growth to see if she needs any added food. I ordered and added hydroguard water temps stay around 68 F to 70 F. I hope over next few days I'll be able to turn light up slowly and get her growing again and hopefully rot is gone and hydrogaurd helps and it doesn't return. Oh I'll post pic. soon...

Hard to believe at one point this girl had lower leaves that went over the sides of the bucket on both sides. She is a strong one... I really hope I don't lose her and she pulls through. Strong girl from sensi seeds.

I'm glad I removed it from basket as I found root rot under the bottom of the stem from when I cloned it. I noticed roots didn't grow out of last 1/4 to 1/2 inch and that's where the rot was hiding. learning curve next time that happens after roots come in I'll cut to the new roots before going to 5 gal bucket.

I know mileage varies per grower but most the time dtw coco produces good results. I rarely see growers that just have issues and cant get by. Its a bit intoxicating makes me think I know what Im doing when I dont because it just grows so good.

I would specify why dtw didnt work for you maybe its a easy fix. I normally dont get involved in dwc threads the method scares me. I cant keep a large reservoir clean and stable without plants in it for dtw coco lol. I switched to 5gal buckets per tent, its working though.

Dwc wow good luck I would help but its a tough method. Some people make it look easy. I cant even root clones in water..
