I think several substances fall into this. Def have seen it in Meth. You act on impulse so much, and I've always considered consciousness our soul. If you're acting on impulse, which I believe is almost purely of the flesh, ya can't exactly make the best decisions.

All drugs alter the mind of the person taking it, even cannabis, that's the point, I suppose if you're a spiritual kind of person you'll probably see it as demonic possession but from a realist perspective it's likely just a temporary form of brain damage.

I don't really see it as possession like you see in movies or anything, more influenced by ill; but I was putting it more towards being more susceptible to human animal instincts that are not morally correct. Think that's one thing that separates us from animals - morals.

Now I have been down some bumpy roads and been to a rehab. This sentiment was fairly common tbh. The harder stuff that requires man to manipulate, had an overwhelming agreement "yeah I sometimes got that vibe when I was on it, seeing shadow man in the corner, floating eyes that are just a set of glowing green, yellow, or red dots" etc. Whether it was meth, too many opioids, etc. oh and sleep paralysis was probably noted by 70% of the 50 or so addicts I spoke with. Very interesting that once you go to far anything could be a "hallucinogen"...or is there more to it lol. To each there own!

You can grow coca and turn it into coke sure but should you tho? Nope shit yields and alot of hassle there's a reason folk just import it

Coca grows at a high altitude and requires it. I didn't think it was possible for the vast majority of us to cultivate, even indoors. Unless you live at the top of a mountain

Lol, I was just in Peru about 2 months ago. Me and the wife went to machu piichu, we were both chewing the shit out of coca leaves. They sell them everywhere, it's almost like coffee here, very accepted and commonly found. It's like smashing a bunch of red bulls.

Nice, is it comfortable? Jittery? I tried coke 7 or 8 times...each time these dudes that did it beside me were like "Awhhhh YEAHH" after their line(s). I did one of equal size...ive never felt anything but numbness .

Chewing the leaf wasn't jittery per say, I definitely felt my heart speed up some, but I felt comfy I guess. It was like a shit load of caffeine.

Not so much however my cousin and his family that live in peru there do and that's meant to be less fiendish/habit forming also it's meant to be the best short term fix for altitude see the thing to remember is with coke is it is a processed drug coca is not also the way they make it now it's all about yield (coke)

Bro it was absolutely breath taking. If anyone gets the chance to go I'd highly recommend it. There's tour guide that are extremely helpful, kind and very knowledgeable. They can also assist you in some spiritual enlightening, either mushrooms or ayahusca
