Just a tip, idk about your water source if its ro or tap or well. I learned which a quick search can verify, the poolshock is oof I forget, calcium based? Either way if your water is high in calcium it will not fully dissolve because of that. Clorox/bleach works better for water high in calcium because its sodium based something like that.
The pool shock wouldnt work anymore when conditions were rough enough which was about 80F. The bleach performed better and even then its a dance to guess the right ppm of the bleach. I just perpetuate 5 gallon buckets just throw the pump/lid in the fresh bucket. Cant last longer than 3 days so I did that.
Cooler temps keeps them longer. They say cooler water holds more oxygen which fights the bad stuff. Alright I see you got some help now Il leave it at that.
