This HIX guy is riding his Surron around LA in the Eaton fire zone. It is a unique look at the devastation in the area, it really does look like a war zone.
I'm in north Los Angeles on the other side of the mountains that form the LA Basin. The phone goes off making a horrible caterwauling and this is what I read. I walk outside and look around and zero smoke, all air traffic from our firebase still heading to LA and it's just gorgeous up here.
So I wait a few minutes and nothing. So I pull out all the Vari Kennels and my bug out bag and as soon as I'd done that I got this:
Because I had nothing better to do then pack and unpack. The emergency management system down here is overloaded. What a horrible week it's been. I hope everyone impacted by this and getting these actual notices are ok.

Morning, wind finally stopped after 6 days and skies are crystal clear.
Going to head up to NH lakes today for work. Got a dredging barge to work on, should be iced in good, easy to get to.
No snow cover anywhere for sledders, so maybe I'll catch the iceboats out today.

My whole family is in Downey CA. They are safe, however Im worried about the aftermath. LA loves to riot.

Yeah I seriously doubt that will happen. It will be like what I experienced from the Camp Fire. Community comes together bigtime. The 1992 riots were a result of racial injustice. I’d say that’s a little different lol. Lots of love around here. #buttestrong #SoCalstrong

The weather is money in the North State of Ca right now. I’m not able to enjoy it much due to being sicker than a dog. Definitely not looking for any pity with whats going on down south. Just absolutely horrible
