3* here. we got walloped by 14" of snow that started on sunday morning and didn't stop until monday evening. we've spent about 15 hours between the two of us shoveling three different driveways (ours, a rental, a neighbor) and a gravel lot to help our tenant get out as she works at a hospital and so was required to go to work. this is the most snow this area has seen in one day, ever. and these cold temps are sticking around for at least a couple of weeks. i dug the chickens a path but they don't care much for the snow and so they're mostly huddled up in the coop or under the shed during the day hours.

i've been watching the fires out of CA since yesterday. i hope all the BnD'ers are okay today and in the days to come as these winds die down. the images coming out of the news this morning are beyond devastating and heartbreaking.
