Yes, very noble of him. I heard there was a temporary flight restriction placed over LA airspace, so president Biden could be flown in during the blaze.. You know, when planes could have been dumping the nearby ocean water over structures to help put out the flames..

I doubt the temporary flight restriction lasted very long, even fire fighting planes need to re-fuel and crew change once in a while, probably a good time for that.

Sounds like he was stuck there for a little while, when he was supposed to be visiting the pope? Made it a point to let everyone know during the live fire debriefing that he was happy to be a new great grandfather, as animals were dying & peoples homes are burning to the ground. Why would a brand new great grandfather have plans to be off in a different country instead of spending time with his family and brand new grandchild (who were ironically in LA, during a planned ceasarian) anyway?

Why did the mayor of LA cut almost 20mil in firefighter funding, and also be off in a different country dealing with other foreign governments instead of her own city while it burns?

What happened to the the massive amount of LA firefighters who filed lawsuits and refused the vaccine mandates.? Weren't they supposed to be fired recently, or did they end up keeping their jobs?

We don't handle fire air operations out of LAX and LAX is already a TCA. We are used to handling Presidents in our air space and it doesn't stop any air traffic, especially not air traffic vital to the mass devastation that is currently occurring. We have three International Airports and a multitude of large airports that handle the traffic when diversion is called and they are all just an Uber or Marine One ride away.

That was just their verbal rhetoric during budget negotiations. Their budget was increased by upwards of 50+ million in salaries and another 50+ million for equipment.

There were actually roughly 113 who were subject for firing due to non-compliance. Many came back after vaccine mandates were dropped. Compared to how many firefighters we have in LA city, surrounding cities, LA County and Cal Fire it wasn't a significant number.

Google first is always a good idea.

‘Essential’: nearly 800 incarcerated firefighters deployed as LA battles wildfires
The California department of corrections and rehabilitation (CDCR) said on Thursday that it had deployed 783 imprisoned firefighters while Los Angeles county fights multiple out-of-control blazes fueled by extreme winds and dry conditions. The incarcerated crews are embedded with the California department of forestry and fire protection (Cal Fire) and its nearly 2,000 firefighters, who have been stretched thin from several simultaneous emergencies.

Unfortunately, ocean water is a bad choice for putting out fires.
It’s salt water, and once enough of it soaks into the soil, nothing will be able to grow there again.
That’s why they always use lakes and rivers (fresh water) to put out wildfires.

It's disgusting to see people on social media saying "oooo they're all liberals that wanna loot, riot and destroy our country! Let em burn"
What have we come to as people?! Instead of feeling sympathy and compassion, we hate each other so much!
You know, disasters usually bring people together, help your neighbors out right???
It's just very sad to see the state our society Is in!
I've always wondered if the worlds always been shitty and I'm just now realizing, or it really is getting worse! Lol
Stay safe everyone! Much love! :peace:
Agreed. It's a shame people cannot live with other people who don't share their views. I remember saying the same thing when so many liberals were cursing the shooter for missing Trump. I was like, damn, your cold people.

Maybe this has a little to do with it. If only republicans beleaved in climate change.

I think tons of Republicans believe in climate change. I do. Is it human caused..probably to some extent. Humans are the problem with the world. All humans. They are hypocritical and in the end only care about themselves when it comes down to it. When the current humans destroy the world the earth will just consume it all and nature will continue on, just as it has for years and years. Human existence here is a blip, a snapshot, a nothing. Every person will die, be gone, you will be forgotten in 200 years or sooner, but the earth will go on.
