advice on choosing LED device

no actually I'm not looking for super cheap products. I'm looking for a product with a maximum cost of 900 euros with the best compromise between cost and quality.

Spider Farmer SE7000 730W Led Grow Light Samsung LM301H EVO
What do you think of this?
This manufacturer also has some interesting controllers and multi-parameter control units (works only with their LEDs) at a competitive price.

I forgot... the LED costs 679 euros. but as I was saying it has the advantage of being able to use it with their controller https://spiderfarmer.eu/collections/grow-accessories/grow-room-controller/

SpiderFarmer are solid, they're also a sponsor on here.

The light you're looking at uses quality components. My biggest issue with the current LM301h Evo fixtures is that they're running way too hot. They're driving these diodes around 04.w to 0.5w per diode, which eats at their life span and efficiency. These are some things to consider.

The G series from SpiderFarmer is excellent value. It's cheaper then the SE7000 while having more overall wattage + diodes. The diodes are Bridgelux but SpiderFarmer drives them very cool compared to their Samsung fixtures.

Basically at this price range, you pick between wanting premium diodes or an excellent diode count. For the bigger brands, the only one ive seen to drive the Evo diodes at under 0.3w per is AC Infinity. Anyway if you compare the lights youre looking at, the G8600 is rated 2.85 umol/j whereas the SE7000 is 2.9 umol/j, pretty much identical, but the G8600 outputs more total PPF.

I'd personally go with the G series over the SE. Some people value the LM301h Evo diodes but I'd rather have a more powerful light with more diodes so I can dim them down to hopefully extend life span even more. That plus the cheaper price tag makes the decision for me.

Of course the power of some PHLIZON devices is crazy for that price... I'm not finding many reviews on the websites I'm consulting. As an ignoramus in the field, if I look at the paper they seem to offer the highest efficiency/price ratio... what do you think? anyway, this LED light market seems to be really aggressive... it was certainly easier with the hps :)

Nothing wrong with Philzon lights what so ever. They use good drivers and offers good build quality. I use their 100w LED board for my moms. It's been solid for well over two years now.

Basically all led lights, their priced are based on:

1. Diode type
2. Diode count
3. Driver
4. Brand

Think of those like stat sliders, you have X amount to play around with before it costs you more money to break the initial amount. Not sure if that makes sense.

The high end market, the prices are high because the components are top tier, diode count is high and the customer service/warranty is generally good. This is brands like Grandmaster, Mammoth, HLG etc id even throw AC Infinity in there.

Phlizon targets more the budget range, they use slightly older diodes, so you trade off some efficiency for a lower price tag. @chuckeye has a really nice grow he's shared on here growing under a Phlizon bar light. He's been a big advocate of Phlizon coming from an HPS light if I remember correctly.

Spiderfarmer is more expensive than Phlizon but they also use better components across their lineup. I'd put them and MarsHydro in the midrange tier.

The market is really wild if you're new to LEDs. The rabbit hole is deep, you can drive yourself crazy if you fall too far down lol

Don't mean to butt in, however isn't the idea with dimmable drivers that you don't run at 100%. Over size your needed power output and only run at 50 or 75%. Adjust distance from canopy.
Dimmable drivers are crucial when height limitations prevent you from maintaining proper canopy distance.
Overlighting and dimming is a smart thing though, diodes are less efficient when lights are run at 100% and you only achieve advertised ~3.0 high efficiency levels when you have the light dimmed somewhat. Put as many diodes as you can fit and dim would be my advise to OP
