I'd say there's more chances of encouraging stretch.
You wouldn't believe the difference 1hr less makes to the morphology and flowering period.

I start 11-13 on day 1 getting them into full flowering mode and less stretchy.
I picked it up from YouTube the dude described it as the plant staying in the intermediary period longer encouraging more vegging growth rather than getting down to flowering.
The plants in screenshot are all the same age and flipped to the stated hrs, check out 10/11 hrs buds for their age compared to 12/13hrs

Seems like theres a payoff between yield and flower quality between 10-14 and 12-12, being cultivar specific.
I think I’ll go 11-13 and drop the hour if any light stress or flower elongation starts happening. Got 5 different strains so need to find a happy medium

On the subject of cultivar specific stuff same can be said about giving anything from close to the equator anything much above 12/12 in veg as you will find they never see 18/6 where there from so it's alien and likely encourages them to herm so if you ever do grow anything like that it's worth remembering that

I’ve seen 12/12 recommended for height control from seed but makes sense that it’ll stress em out!
Think this Buddha is made up of Thai and Jamaican genetics crossed with I can’t mind. My pheno doesn’t look too sativa heavy atm but the internodes are pretty large

Yeah I'd think they would have added in some indica maybe but then again Jamaica got hit bad with hybrids early on so most of the older stuff would be actually purer and i think the line in that was one from reeferman so hybridised unless I'm mistaken it be the same one in Nepal jam as well the one there calling 70s lambsbread but if you actually look at the pics of the older vibes collective one you will see what the purer one is like or even the more lambsbread learners you can find in double jam for comparison regardless should be a good smoke anyway bud

I relate it to kush but I've also grown fuel/hashy/earthy kush in recent times so idk where to even look, so where do those old school pledgey or wd40 like terps originate from? What could i buy to find that?
I wouldn't mind some bubble gum aswell if you know of anything reliable or even something unusual?

Lemon pledge is in og stuff also kc33 has that kinda thing about it that's sativa though not kush related tbh that's not so rare a terp profile Ime however wd40 idk I've came across fuelly solvent type almost alcohol smelling stuff and many variations on that theme in a few lines and plenty of oddball stuff but i never had one close to wd40 myself yet I'm sure it's out there tho as for bubblegum Fleur de mal seeds I'd check out there bx line or the crosses in the bubblegum mix maybe mate

I ran a pack of Ethos lemon Berry candy last year and I was impressed with the smoke big time, now the buds themselves looked like brown tampons very little bag appeal...also the smell drying was a crazy pungent horrible/nice/not sure if I like that smell but can't get enough of it hotdogs smell exactly like tinned hotdogs, anyway dried it thought nothing of it wasnt that impressed tbh, eventually got round to smoking it and wow real nice lemon Polish cleaner terps but complex with a kinda sweet pine/wood taste, me and friends nick named it church lemon as it taste jus like an old church bench cleaned with lemon Mr sheen was delicious and terpy real heavy lingering smoke.
One of those few rare strains I think about growing now and again but will never get round to it surley we all have a few of them!

Yeah I did, beautiful plants easy to grow mega yeilders for sure. The strength was average maybe a touch below which I did like as a daytime.smoke no problem but what really lacked for me was the terps, very disappointing almost taste of nothing, I thought g13 or dna ive forgot there blueberry gum far better terps real tasty also my jilly bean Indiana Bubblegum cross also beat it nice gum terps. I value terps over pretty everything well to a point I want full flavor behaviour or don't come back in my garden but I know this isn't what everyone else prioritising. I also ran fdm c99 and was disappointed...again lacked terps slight pina taste meh smoke.

Do you mean like pledge polish? Like furniture polish in the spray can? If so the last lot of nl5xhaze I did had a couple phenos like that, they weren't brilliant but definitely a nice terp profile

Yes bud pledge furniture polish that's the one omg it's such a nice terp profile.
I've a cocoa kush x la con with that profile and I think I've another growing atm slh x rainbow belts it's very promising considering it's barely started flowering.
