Vets are one of the DEI categories. Companies in the private sector got a huge tax break for hiring vets. Most of the time the vet never knew this.

You know I keep hearing the term "DEEP STATE" used to describe Fed. Govt. employees,people of various political persuasions who do a job serving the nation. Many could make more $$$$ in the private sector and many are vets.,my late dad worked in a bland concrete building in Newport RI as a clerk for the navy's torpedo program, a navy vet who'd prob be a prime target for Elon. It's all BS and is NOT going to make a dent in the 36T debt, it's another Trump diversion "RAH,RAH,RAH". The DEEP STATE as I define it is ALL THE BLACK BUDGET PROGRAMS RUN BY CLANDESTINE AND SHADY DEFENSE CONTRACTORS IN UNDERGROUND FACILITIES, WHO"S WORK IS CONCEALED FROM CONGRESS AND THE PRES. AND WILL THREATEN AND MURDER TO KEEP IT"S SECRETS.

The Washington Post snagged a memo written by an Army Corps of Engineers official who worked on the releases
The memo was written four days after the releases by Col. Chad W. Caldwell, commander of the Army Corps’ Sacramento District, Caldwell also told a California water official that he had been told to take photos of the water being released and send them to Washington, D.C., the Post reported, citing an anonymous official. Sure enough, on Jan. 31, Trump claimed his political win with an image of water flowing from Lake Kaweah.
“Photo of beautiful water flow that I just opened in California,” he wrote in an X post that has amassed tens of millions of views. “Today, 1.6 billion gallons and, in 3 days, it will be 5.2 billion gallons. Everybody should be happy about this long fought Victory!
Rather than actually assist Los Angeles County with firefighting, the water was used downstream of the reservoirs for “limited irrigation demand” and “groundwater recharge,” according to a joint statement from local water agencies.
