Hey rest of Canada, stereotyping us all as a hive mind of backwards, redneck separatists is getting pretty fucking old.
Could you maybe be a little more selective in your hatred and scorn? The MANY progressive Albertans get really tired of being lumped in with the morons. We already have to deal with them every day, and adding your bullshit on top is pretty frustrating.

We have quite a few religious groups locally that seem to deny science until they're ill. Then attribute getting better on their savior instead of medicine. One local preacher forbade his parishioners from getting treatment for covid, then he ended up being intubated and survived. He also protested the same hospital where he was treated.

Sadly the ignorance isn't plain, it's willful as we all have access to a ton of information these days, but few consume much of what is relevant/true.Yeah, it's crazy what mistrust, misinformation, and just plain ignorance can do.
The hypocrisy also saddens me. For the charlatan to seek medical treatment, yet instructs the parishioners not to seems authoritarian. The 5th Estate did a segment on the cult - a friend of my brother's Mom had breast cancer and she couldn't seek treatment while he looked after her. The stench from the rotting bosom was horrid- he left the church after she passed.
