Hello, have the opportunity to grow and will keep a log here.

My plan is to prepare beds outdoor and eventually put everything there to flower.

The seedlings are 10-12 days old, I plan to veg them 4-6 weeks, these are in about 2.7L soil — if more sprouts, now in cups about 0.7L soil, I will veg these for 3-4 weeks.

Will see how it looks but I want to veg at least one for 50+ days, if possible.

I think light is sufficient for now, it's on 24/7 later I will get one more, 4k if ppssible. I couldn't find the 4k kelvins but I dont think it will matter much.

I open the case for fan ventilation and airflow during the day sometimes.

Soil is prefertilized pete, 200/200/200, with perlite and cal, should be ok for base. I put some dry plant material in, not so much, and have more N and P organics for later.

I started the seeds in soil directly. I mixed in shredded paper in the area immediately around the seed, for water retention — it works good. I did the same on the new seeds but that after having dug them up, as I messed up the first time, they have been in soil for about 24h and some looked alive when I dug them out, I think it will be fine.

Also the soil where the seedlings root will be is mixed with some sand and dirt, to thin out the npk, making it less hot.

I am not sure how much soil I need for the outdoor bed. Anybody?

Otherwise I think they will flower nicely, it's mild warm, low precipitation, humid air and at equator.

I will go looking for some spots tomorrow. I think to split the locations for stealth.

The floor needs fixing, I will look for something.

And it's mostly Glookies, maybe a couple Apple Fritter, all from flowers I bought, I assume all is feminized.

My last grow, a few years ago, there is a log. I had more leds; the space was smaller and I flowered three plants in 2.7L pots. Soil, temp, nutrs, wasn't optimized but I flowered them and got about 25g from each of the three.

I didn't top then and I don't want to top this time. I'll LST bend the stalks to grow horizontally if/when there is space.

If roots look to fill the pots much then I will move them out earlier. My guess is that they will 'soilmax' the 1L in 3 weeks of growth and the 2.7L in 4 weeks.
I want to see it though. My first grow roots look fairly full to me but I lack reference for comparison — looked like they could grow some more to me.

I changed things up

Will veg and flower indoors:

**Cardboard box for Veg**

Footprint: 0.15m²
Dinensions: 45*47*72cm
Light:
3k, 4k, 6.5k
Total Watt:
Bulbs: 0

**Closet for Flowering**
Footprint: 0.3m²
Light: 17-20w (3k, 4k, 6.5k)
Total Watt: 54
Bulbs: 3

I will add a few more bulbs, probably 3-5 more to flower and 3 to veg

Now
@ 14-16 days:
2x apple fritter in 3L
1 Biscotti in 3L

@ 1-2 Days:
1*Biscotti in 3L
3*Biscotti in 4.5L

Will do 4-5 Wk Vegetative phase.
Target 25-40 per plant.

Gl

have you got the lights on 24/0 hours a day? its best to have them on 24 hrs if your going to put them out for flowering. it limits streatch
it looks like you do. sorry, i have asbergers and thats too much reading for me lol

I have it on 24/7. They stretch even less now that I have more white/blue light there.

And I decided not to put them out, too much work and I have the space. I will get some more lights and flower it in the closet.

I've grown with these lights before and even with many mistakes it turned out better than expected.

wh0y you given up on flowering them outside. you have enough p0lants to do both

whats that, to fill the pot they were in?

Yeah, I am generally curious about how to dial in veg time and soil volume.

Afaik, veg time of 4 weeks shouldn't yield more than 30g — at most, no matter conditions, the plant is just too small to yield more. At this time bud : plant (stalk/branches/leaf) ratio is rather low and peaks at 6-8 weeks veg, source: https://migrolight.com/blogs/grow-light-news/when-to-switch-from-vegetative-stage-to-flowering-stage-12-12#:~:text=The results (Figure B) show, harvest with high THC content.

If we let it veg 10 more days then we can expect triple the yield (90g) — ten more days (48 d) and we are at 250ish expected yield, and at this point the Bud to Stalk/Branch/Leaf ratio starts dropping and we get diminishing returns on veg time.

Pot size depends on nutrients and a rootbound plant can become massive if it is fed. If the soil is prefertilized then it's most interesting to dial in veg time and volume.

It's just my own conjecture based on what I've studied so far.

It's not a big deal but I would personally like to know exactly how much soil is needed to grow 20/25/30 etc

Now it is 12/12 for the next half a year and I do think it's an option to germinate a bunch indoors and put all out after like 2 weeks.

Anyway, I think something will get put outdoors eventually, I don't really want to stink up the place flowering although it's legal.

I have barely enough light rn and won't be able to get more before 2½ weeks, kicked out my ex yesterday and my money is overextended much as a result.

There are 54w, 5.8k lumens, 2*3kel and 1*4k, running 24/7. I think optimal coverage here is 30*30cm.

The plant is 17 days since germination, looks a bit small to me, I think for lack of light. If things grow slowly then I will veg a little longer.

it will be slower to grow at first, your giving them 24 hrs of light, closer growth but slower at first. they look nice n healthy to me
