Blaze & Daze

Long time no chat, been busy with a ton of stuff. At the end of the month I'll be coming out of the grow closet, again. Starting at a huge (something like 300k sq feet) grow. At least this time it's actually a sealed, indoor with actual climate control.

Personal harvest of Super Skunk Kush is looking good for the end of the month.
Week 7 1/2 harvesting at end of week 9 if the trichs and my mood agree.

Self love is in the air, so I've got a tank full of Wet Ass Cuttings (WACs), 21 to sacrifice to get the last 3
strongest Spartan Heiresses of Super Skunk Kush.

Then we have the MIWF, the Mother I Won't Flower a Gelat.OG freebie seed, the last
from my 2020 plague order of genetics. Time to re-up.

All the plants are feeling very antidisestablismentarianist and getting a lot of 80's punk lately.

Starting at a huge warehouse (something like 300k sq feet) grow going on daily bug hunts and occasional sprays. At least this time it's actually a sealed, indoor with actual climate control. So it shouldn't be the endless mold show of the last legal weed gig.

Great looking grow, that SSK harvest is gonna be yummy. Does the grow warehouse at which you work let you get cuts of all their genetics? That's the only non music job I'd consider working. Nice Clone King cloner, I have 3 of those ;)

I've used the king cloner since 2013 and absolutely love it, that's actually my second rez, the first one cracked after about 6 years.

Unfortunately my state is just one step above still at war with satan's cabbage. Required vertical integration, seed to sale tracking, with all the legislative bells and whistles necessary for the politicians and their nepo-business friends and families to dip their hands into cash of the product. So no, my home grow will still be the same old mail order genetics I've done for years. The job has the goal of establishing the ability to get out of this state, weed is something I can do without absolutely loathing myself and I do love the plant, so it's a good place to get some corporate bennies.

It's anyone's guess as to what my side gig is, is it the one with coprorate America or is it my music-centric gig of producing, mastering, and gigging. Depending on the decade which was the main income has varied. With the AI tools that have been introduced in the last 3 years for music generation, it's taken a hit on my composition contracts and loop stores almost equally, so has video editing and mastering. Actual onsite recording and videography have been up this year, but that requires more work and time to make the same cash than the web gigs. From a symphonic section player, to studio musician, to doing my own production, and internet gigging; I'll always be doing something in music as long as it's not teaching I don't want to ever get "Mr Holland Opused."

I hear you on the, 'What really is my main gig?' thing. When I left the corporate world I was busking hard in the mornings, then working my PC and making phone calls on the go for the rest of the day. Then studying how to grow weed at home in the evenings. When I decided to convert my home office into a grow room, and got a few grows under my belt, I started selling and accumulating customers. When I was selling as fast as I could grow it, I was able to quit busking and the corporate job. I was still playing gigs for fun and practicing a lot. During covid the gig market came to a halt, so I started my solo gig thing. I had no idea it would blow up so quickly, it is still my main source of gig income. This turned out to be perfect timing, as medical cannabis came to town, then recreational, music started overtaking growing and selling as the main source of income. Nowadays it isn't even close, music all the way. I'm fortunate that it was a pretty seamless transition. I'm now working on an online interactive music creation endeavor that, if successful, will make it so I won't even have to leave my home to make a great income. We'll see if it works, I have my doubts but I'm willing to give it a shot. Anyway, onward and upward...

An ass grove? I could get behind that...
