looking good ! ... cant wait to see them in 2 weeks
605 replies later I am inclined to disagree atleast about helping. Your plants are looking good.Thank you hun! Unfortunately the vast majority of growers around here are male and not open to helping.
Nice Net! Way better looking then your first grow. They do look a bit stretched out tho. Do you have a fan on them? What are your temps? It sort of looks like a sativa dom plant which will get all tall and lanky .... Good job look good.
Well the temps look good but personally I like to run the fan 24-7. It helps promote air movement so as not to promote mold and help promote thicker stems to help when the buds start forming so that they dont tilt from the excess weight on the stems. Sativas are cool. Great for a "functional" head high and for sex while an Indica is a couch/TV/Gameing high.yeah i have a fan on them during the lights on cycle. the lights off cycle doesnt though. is that bad??
my temps are in the 70's for the room and the 60's for the water.
I was wondering if it was sativa or indica dom, you're not the only one to say its a sativa dom. I guess it is huh... awesome!!
In my opinion you have past the time to do a good pruning. Now that its budding the fan leaves are helping promote bigger healthier bud growth. My last grow I did a series of experiments and on one plant through out its budding stage I slowly pruned the fan leaves to allow more light into the rest of the plant but when it came down to harvesting I found that the buds on that plant tended to be smaller ....... I will have to do it again for my next grow to make sure that was the reason it happen and not something else but in my opinion just leave your plants alone and just give them lots of love.I think the smaller plant may be an indica dominant girl, her leaves are a lot thicker than the other.... hmmm.....
What do you think about a really good pruning at this point in the growth?
Thanks for the advice! I'm hoping for a good yield, but if not this time around then next time!In my opinion you have past the time to do a good pruning. Everything seems to be going good. The Buds are coming in a bit slow but I think its because I have a sativa dominant plant. We shall see.Hey girl, just checking in, how's your plant coming along?
Behemoths! Every last one of them! Looks like you are just beginning so steady your course and be patient and take comfort in the fact that you will not be the first grower to get high and stare at your plants for hours. I have done it almost everyday last week! If I had plants as nice as yours, I would keep on staring. Great work so far!
IMHO: If you must prune now, be sure to only cut half of each leaf. Remember that the fan leaves are there to produce energy for the bud production. Also, you should really prune any damaged leaves because the plant will utilize its energy to heal when it could be using it to produce nice, dense buds. Never prune more than 50% of the fan leaves once flowering begins as it will likely stress or kill the plant. I would actually try to stay around the 25% mark. Great job on them tho.I think the smaller plant may be an indica dominant girl, her leaves are a lot thicker than the other.... hmmm.....
