Im going to run 2 ecoplus 2's with 4 -12 inch stones per pump with small sub. pump for actual water movement and easy water changes.

it only cost me 80 bucks....im sure you could surf the web and find a better deal....but i just like to get it now with no wait so what the hell...this pump will do more than what i use it for but i like lots of movement...it always keeps the nutes mixin and i never worry about enough oxygen......

Yes the clone in a cup method is the simpleist.Cut @ a 45 degree angle set direclty in a cup of water. Move to the scrape spot.Take the clone and lightly remove the outside layer of "skin" over the bottom 1/2 of the stalk.Dip in cloning solution of ur choice. im using superthrive.dip for 30 seconds.I place in a small plastic cup cut to size to fit " hold up" the fan leaves. My clones are bigger now so i dont have to cut the cup.
I put only enuff water in the cup to cover the stalk i scraped.About a half inch to an inch and just change and refill it daily. Im getting clones in a week this way.

Thank you soo much for all your help bro! i have just a couple of questions. with the cup of water method, do you PH the water? and if so what PH do you leave it at and does it stay there? Also when you change the water everyday, do you dump it out and quickly replace it or do you have another cup ready and just immeadietly put them in the new cup? And what do u set the PH of this new water at?

Also you said that you "dipped in superthrive" i would assume you didnt just dip directly into the superthrive itself, did u use a mild solution? and if you did how much did you dilute it?

Also i was wondering your thoughts on whether or not i would need a humidity dome on a DIY Ez-Cloner. It honesly wont matter as long as this "cup of water" thing works out ;) but i still have yet to find any info on it. Thanks again for all you help!

what form do you get it in? those little cubes or the bricks that you break up yourself? is it re-useable? i think this is what i'm going to use. i'm biding my time and saving my money, buying one component at a time so i can afford to spend a little more and try to get a little better quality stuff. the light is my next purchase. i'm trying to find a good digital ballast for cheap on ebay or craigslist. what kind of light(s) do you use?

Dont go cheap or used. It is way worth the money to get a good lumatek digital so you wont have any problems. i have heard horror stories about used craigslist ballasts failing on people. You can find a nice 400w lumatek for 150US

my 8" exhaust fan is louder than it.....I recommend either putting it on a cement floor or screw the little feet to a big piece of plywood and set that on the carpet...otherwise it is a little noisy...but not crazy loud..if you put it in your closet and slept in the same room you probally wouldn't notice it if you closed the closet door

Sir. Use Tap WATER when cloning. AND I dip directly into a small cup of superthrive directly out of the bottle.(NO SOLUTION) I leave it in there for 30 seconds.Only put enuff superthrive in the cup sufficient to cover the actual scraped area of the cutting. 1/2 inch on the stem.

I dont use domes on my clones in the cup. Just place them on the side of ur moms in the actual veg room.18/6 is all they need for 7 day success.

I do use a dome with my plug cuttings.

Bro. My humidity in my veg room rarely gets over 27 percent.
Try techniques and see how they work out. Some people clone in a cup of water on there window sill. Ive only added things that ive done to fine tune this process.
Yes, there are reccomended humidity and all kinds of other reccomendations that i suggest u to follow for maximum results. My humidity reaches 85-90% in the domes. Is it neccesary....not for the clones in the cup. These are just things ive done following exact systems of other growers thats broughten me to 100% success rate at this point with both techniques.

Follow the rules exactly and u to will have the same results i guarantee it.
Dont make things harder than it should be.If someone tells u they are cloning in a cup of water on the window sill and getting awesome results than it is what it is.

All very simple

nice. I can here the GH pump in the next room and it is on a 3inch thick peice of foam and then plywood. my 8inch fan is also louder ;) but it is more of a "white" noise then anything else. the pumps seem to be more aggresive noise if that makes sense. I am going to look into these comericial pumps. thanks bro :eyesmoke:

craigslist is the best way to get rid of all your broken crap....LOL

i regularely shop on craigslist....got some tips for you bargain shoppers...

1.ALWAYS, test what you are buying...if they won't let you test it out
fuck em....any good seller will let you check something out before
purchasing....with ballasts let em run for at least 15 mins before you
say ok...suggest smoking a bowl while ya wait
2.Never pay before you see what you are getting
3.don't get pissed if you drive somewhere and they flake on you..happens
to me all the time
4.If you are sellin something dont take checks...ever

happy shopping

Sweet. Thanks again man. I tend to make things alot harder on myself then they need to be. This situation looks to be one of them. I will be trying both methods and let you know how things go. +rep fowshow
