i heard something about hydrogen peroxide getting oxygen to the roots. whats the reason youd do this , are there benefits in regular growing or does it fix some sort of plant sickness?
As posted, it will kill any micro-organisms in your soil, or fertilizers if you're going organic. And you sure don't want to use it at 17.5% strength without diluting it. It would most likely start smoking as it did its magic. Why do you want to use it?Is it ok to use hydrogen peroxide at 17.5% strength in soil?
And if I add it with nutes in my water tank will it kill the nutes?
think about what you just said...hydrogen peroxide is h202, thats two hydrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms. if the stuff oxygenates your water one would be led to guess the the element it loses would be oxygen. whats left?...h2o...water. so if it becomes something else it has to be water. im no chemist, but it makes sense to me. anyone that cant prove me right or wrong? if im wrong i want to know.hyrdrogen perexide is a liquid compound and connot be simply turn into water, it only becomes deluted, but im sure after a while the peroxide does lose a few elements. But only becomes something else.
Id like to use it to introduce more oxygen content to the roots & to prevent root rot. Ill definetly be adding it to water before pouring it in soil. Al B fuct highly recommends it as it has given him great results (but at 50% strength in hydro) but what about soil?As posted, it will kill any micro-organisms in your soil, or fertilizers if you're going organic. not an agruement, a debate. how do you figure the roots get the oxygen then. they dont absorb the h2o2 to get the oxygen do they? straight h2o2 will burn the roots so i would think they dont use it as is. i dont know this for fact, i wish someone who did could clarify.I know how to find out, lets get some water and find out, who wants to drink it. lol. But i see where your coming from but every response needs a stimulas, and i cant think of any reason that h2O2 would magicly drop the extra oxygen atom. Im no chemist either but im just being sceptic of that idea. lol
So the stuff you buy at the local store is 3% h2o2 and some other stuff. I think the other stuff is for ph buffer and and it has some thing to keep the h2o2 stable so when you purchase it you do not just purchase water.I know how to find out, lets get some water and find out, who wants to drink it. lol.
