i understand that...tohave both....its better for the fact..but ican get the one that uses only hps bulbs..which i read is better..and have two bulbs..one for vegging and one for flowering...it would save money....ithink....???:weed::weed::weed:

If you can only swing one light go HPS. It's not ideal for vegging but it has so much more power than needed for veg that it's fine. The most important thing is having HPS for flowering, that's where all the weight is packed on.

You can't put a hps bulb in a mh fixture and vice versa unless it's a special ballast made to do that. The reason is one uses a capacitor to fire up the bulb and one uses an ignitor. Two different ways of doing things that aren't interchangeable.

so using hps setup for vegging isnt ideal..arent there any 70-150 watts 2700k hps bulbs and 6500k hps bulbs that i can switch for each stage???instead of using mh for one or the other and loosing lumen

i think ppl are pumping mh or hps too much....because u CAN veg with hps but ppl perfermh.....but for flowering ppl love hps.....i want the best for cheap....if i dont need to buy a dual hps system..then i wont....so i need a solid answer.....can i have a hps system with two type of bulbs.......

IF you relly want a SOLID FOR SURE answer then i would recommend calling the HTG shop... i called them earlier today so I know they are open...
