Is it a bad idea to give a lot of different nutrients in one mixture? I'm planning on using advanced nutrients micro, grow, bloom, carbo load, sweet leaf,and dr. hornsby big bud, overdrive, and bud blood. Dr. hornsby would be used in different times, never together I believe in different weeks of flowering. The 5 before that I believe are used throughout.

the only thing a plant needs are NPK, and of course the micro nutes. if you can get all of those in one bottle (which you can) then why use 5 different kinds all at once?? they're all doing the same thing, but you run the risk over giving too much...

Why are you planning on using that massive list of nutrients & magic sauces,there is no such thing as "big bud" or "bud hardener" or any of the other fancy sounding name shit you posted,the only thing that can be accomplished with that list of sauces you have there over a regular $5 a bottle fertilizer is a sore ass from getting bent over.
Learn about fertilizers & forget all that fancy sounding mumbo jumbo those manufacturers promise,also forget all the nonsense kids post about using those products & getting massive yeilds,people want to believe that they've found something special so they believe its a special recipie with secret sauce instead of learning why it works,the shit is fertilizer & thats all.
Spend $15 on enough good fertilizer to last you several grows & take the hundreds of dollars you saved from not buying that junk & buy a better grow light or something.

Dude c'mon,its fertilizer thats promoted by the manufacturer with carefully placed wording designed to make you think it has special properties.
Not a single claim made by Dr Hornsby as to the effectiveness of those products can be backed up by real scientific evidence with a peer reviewed white paper,only cut & paste nonsense they have taken from basic botany 101.

Panhead bro. Alot of this makes sense to me cuz up until now ive been doing fine in my grow with just my simple backbone nuts "grow" and "flower". And supplementing flower P K with Kool Bloom.
Ive been searching for someone to give me a magic formula haha.
Ive been asking all around and cant seem to get a proper one that makes sense man. Alot of shit u say makes sense to me so ill ask.
Is there anything a grower can get such as macro or micro nutrients for my grow that will help with better results in different stages of growth?

What makes you so sure people haven't seen differences in what you call fancy mumbo jumbo? My friend uses Big Bud, sweet leaf, and overdrive and recommended me to use them because they work. Nutrients vary depending on the style of growing & the growers preference,many growers use off the shelf moderately priced fertilizers while others swear by using ultra expensive botique type fertilizers such as fox farms,you can save yourself alot of headache simply by spending a day reading up on "NPK" values & how each value/ratio applies to growing.
I use "Peters" brand or "Jacks classic" brand fertilizers,they are the best on the market,reasonably priced & offer the full list of micro nutrients that marijuana plants need,plus they are made from salts that are not hard on the plant,its hard to burn a plant using peters or jacks.
In a pinch you can get by & have a good grow using ferts like Miracle grow or Vigiro which are sold at home depot,both these ferts should be used with caution though as they are both very very strong fertilizers & should be used at no more than 50% strentgh at half the reccomended feeding schedule.

its simple biology. all plants need NPK, they are the macro nutrients. then there are the 8 (or so i think) micro nutrients. these are the only things the plant needs and can use. the ferts you listed have NPK and maybe micro nutes, i dunno. the only thing that matters is the ratio. its simple biology. if you can get everything your plant needs in one bottle then why use more than one? you should take an intro bio class, it will really help in your grow.

,nobody insulted you in any way,all ive tried to do is to teach you something & save you an assload of cash,if you choose to base a grow around expensive fertilizers then by all means do so,but if you really want to be a good grower then stop listening to friends & learn about npk values,learn exactly what plants need then give it to them based on an understanding of the plants needs & apply that new found knowledge to growing.You might not believe this but before i post reply's to new members i read their other posts,your pretty new from what i read,i wasnt trying to insult you but to teach you that your spending a lot of money that will not be returned to you in increased yeild & these products will not increase a yeild.
Your friends might get excellent results using those expensive products but the same results can be had using much cheaper fertilizers,now wouldnt you feel much better about your grow if your harvest was exactly as good as your friends & you only spent $10 on fertilizer compared to the mega bucks he spent.
If you still think im bs'ing you stop & take a look at the insane monster plants that fdd2blk grows using dirt cheap fertilizers & no fancy stuff,only trying to save you cash thats all.
Think about this for a minute before you explode & call me a douche again,you havent a clue as how to use these products but your convinced you need them in your grow

Your right to question most of the crap the hydro stores try to sell you,its a scam,some of the botique fertilizer companies say that we need this that & the other thing to grow & their right,they are right because they have cleverly designed their fertilizers in many seperate stages where one part is missing many other parts,without buying the whole line of nutes it leaves a gap in nutrients that the plants need.
Ive got the perfect products to reccomend that have worked excellent in my grows,infact they were the fertilizers reccomended in the grow faq on overgrow before it went down.
Jacks classic dynamic duo has all the micro as well as macro nutrients any strain of marijuana will ever need,i never suffer any nutrient defiencies using these very cheap off the shelf fertilizers ,i started a thread on the subject earlier today,the 2 products in the dynamic duo pack are all thats needed from start to finish as they have every last nutrient the plant will ever need & will do several grows for less than $10 total

Yo man your very right in all the things you said, but lighten up dude. peaple like these ferts because they are good products, not worth the money, but good products all the same, and by useing those they will start to learn when to use each one and why they are useing them. and by the way they are real , advanced nutrients makes the best ferts in the world, there just so over priced its not worth buying them in less your rich. if you do the reaserch you dont need ne fert off the shelf, REAL, growers make there teas or layer soils for each stage of growth, if you know what you want in your teas then you can look for a product that matches it, like for me i use BMO because they dont use bone/blood meal. i hate those.
