Does anyone else do this with their grinder?

nope ive not tried it. i dont have a 3 tier grinder. only one that grinds up buds. but i have loads of trics still in it. wish i could get inbetween the teeth and scrape them out :(

but if u did this then ur bud wouldnt have as many trics on and..... whats the point really.

it's just nice to save up keif. i like saving for hash making, topping bowls, etc.

and about getting the stuff out: i tossed my grinder in a plastic baggie with some iso alcohol, gave it a shake, let it evaporate on a plate, and voila! hash! def worth considering

nah i actually have a little scraper with mine. i have a bunch of sharpstones there legit i keef like crazy, bake it then smoke it thats how its done

it doesn't knock alot of trichs off. Mainly the ones that get caught between the screen and the teeth side of the grinder.

nah if you smoke good weed then you still get high and then i get ripped off of all the resin or trichs whatever u prefer. if your using a grinder that dosent collect it where all that shit goin to

I have an old school wooden grinder with stainless steel pins. We tend to scrape it out after every half ounce or so. Otherwise it just won't grind properly. Unfortunately I dropped the ball just before the laws changed over here in Queensland (banning bong and paraphernalia sales), so I didn't buy any new bongs or grinders or vaporisors or anything. I'll be in NSW in the new year (heading to Nimbin/Mullumbimby), so I think I'll invest in some new tools then.

In your lungs when you smoke your ground up weed. I don't have a trichome catcher on my grinder...I just scrape it out on occasion. Same result, different method.

Thats pretty cool im going to try that, people get scared about knocking a couple trichs off, if it good enough weed it should still work, then you can take a small bowl and pile keif ontop and get much higher

why not just dry screen your trimmings?

Oh i agree that it removes them, i guess i should have mentioned that i normally dont use a grinder to break up my bud, just chunks in my bowl. So i guess the grinder is a random thing for some quick kief for me, but i agree i wouldnt use a grinder everyday
