How am I doing? (day 17) PICS

Hi all!

Im a first-time poster in this really great and usefull site!
Much respect! :smile:

So finally decided to take some pics with my phone of my baby as well...she is 17 days old by now. This is my first grow ever...and probably could do alot of things better but...

I have:
one 14w CFL(with special plant growing-spectrum) -2inches from plant

one 160W Osram Mercury tungsten blended lamp - about 16 inches away from plant (gives pretty much heat)

indoor-flower growing soil (PH~6.0)

Compared to other 2-3week old plants i have seen on this forum -mine is a bit weaker. I think the reason is that in my newbie stupidity i let it stretch in the first five days... then i got reading this site and buried it a little under the soil (to ebryo-leaves) and brought my lights alot closer...also i replanted it in a bigger pot 2 days ago...so perhaps the plant is just gathering its strength from its new environment or smth...

Well here are the pics....so please let me know how its doing in this growth stage...what should i think about doing differently? Should i concider getting a vent? How big should it be?
When should i`ll start giving it nutes?



What u all think, is it sativa? :smile:

more light bro...17 days those plants should be way bigger...get some superthrive or a root stimalator,add a few drops to your water...

...i really dont have alot of money to spend on her (unfortunately) :(...student myself and have only a lousy part-time job :). When i visited a local hardwere store ...that 160W mercury lightbult was the only one of high-pressure lamps they had for common socket...for HPS and MH lamps I should have bought all the equipment also... i actually use regular table lamps :S ...i hoped they would do...perhaps i should buy more stronger CFL for the lower lamp?

wouldnt want to grow it that CHEAP...but yeah...thats how it is right now :)

Dude, cheap and easy = 26w cfls, 6500k for veg and 2700k for bloom, you will not be dissapointed if your in a small space like me :)

hmm...to think of it- the main root was kind of skinny and only few side-roots were coming out of it when i replanted her...So i guess ihave to replant again, hope i dont hurt or bother her too much :/. How much perlite do you mix with the soil? 50-50 ?

Pretty much its hard to add too much... I don't go as high as 50 50 but a lot of people do! Just give it enough so there is a good solid consistency throughout.

Hi all!

So its day 23 (3rd week) now and wanted to know what u guys think how is she (hopefully :) ) doing ?

It has been 6 days since the last pics i took...i think she has grown a bit meanwhile...the stem looks thicker and leaves are bigger :)

Since the last time i posted here, i replanted her again (to new soil with higher PH -6.5 ,also it seems to have a better absorbency). The light-cycle is still 18/6 (want to veg her about 2 months i think?). Also bought new 23W CFL, the mercury blended light bulb (160W) is still the same- i calculated, that i should have about ~5000lumens for her.
Also gave her first nutes yesterday (they are sum kind of nutrient sticks that you stick in the soil)- i gave her 2 instead of 3 (3 was recommended on the package).

So thats how`s shes doing right now- leaves are a bit droopy on these pics- i think i overwatered her a bit...

Does the size of the pot do for her lifecycle?

I add 1prt pearlite and 2 parts soil

hi!

So its her 1 month birthday today and thought i took sum birthday pics :)
She`s a little one...and not that bushy and strong, but i hope she will grow within following month, before i put her to 12/12

Here are the pics...and again all comments appreciated :weed:

the reason your plant lacks its bushy look is because the plant is streched keep those lights 3in away from your plant shes still looking great keep up the good work

well my 23 cfl is about 2 inches away...but my 160w mercury tungsten blended lightbulb gets really hot and i must keep it at least 8inches away...or it burns the leaves .I thought about changing it to CFL ...but that high pressure mercury gives out ~3000lumens alone...23W cfl gives ~1500lm ,so...
