Yeah it is officially dead unless we see divine intervention. Kill that plant and try to remove it without pulling other roots as well. I have actually trimmed roots like this before leaving a much smaller root mass on the healthier plants. They are stressed and slow, but eventually pick back up. Hygrozyme would work well to decompose those dead/black roots and turn them into usable matter for your healthy roots. The other plants still look healthy

it could be the nutes but is the bottom of that thick root ball black?

So you think it's really dead? Call me crazy, but I think I'm going to keep it in there and see what happens. I don't really have anything to lose as this was just an experiment. I'm going to get that Hygrozyme at my local hydroponics store. I appreciate all your input. I will continue to update this thread on a regular basis so stick around if you want to see what happens. Yeah, the bottom of the root is black. I wish I could find my Jorge Cervantes indoor horticulture book to identify wtf it is. It's not mushy at all so I don't think it's rot probably some weird disease that nobody ever gets except me. Well, it's my first grow so I see this as a learning experience. Hopefully my other plants can yield something special. Thanks for the feedback!

The concentration of the nutrient solution should not be too strong, ie. over 1300-1500 ppm, nor should it be too weak. A strong solution would cause negative osmotic pressure on the plant. Because of high salinity, ie. the amount of dissolved solids outside the plants root cells, water flow would reverse to flow out of the plants, causing plants to lose their turgor, to wilt. Too weak solution wouldn't contain enough nutrients and might cause osmotic flow of nutrients to reverse, causing nutrient ions to flow out of the cells, leaving the plant hungry for more.

Lol, yeah I probably should do that, but I'm gonna wait it out. I think this particular strain has bad genetics. I had problems day one getting these White Label WW to germinate. This one ended up being the only one that germinated out of 5 feminized seeds. I started another thread awhile back because I was having a lot of problems with this particular plant showing signs of defeciencies in its infancy stages. Since only 1 out of 5 germinated I decided to go with nirvana snow white and I'm really happy with the way they're turning out. Some parts are still green so I'm going to try to save it. I let it vegg way too long and the Aerogarden reservoir is just too small for a large plant like that. Anyways, thanks everybody for the input.
I am new to this so im not sure how much help my respose will be but I have a plant that is about 4 weeks veg and it began to turn yellow and wilt just like this many people suggested that it was a nitrogen defiecency and they recommended using fish emulsion. Hope that helps some!

I think u will have better luck with DWC-is more effecient and easier maintenance. each gal gets her own res-3 gallon plastic garbage pails from Walmart work well-18" high and 9" across-

Yeah, I think I'm going to build a nice ebb-flow system next time and upgrade to an HPS. I just want to be able to grow enough so I don't ever have to buy it. Unfortunately, this little experiment was a partial failure, but it's definitely a learning experience. Thanks!
