Allright, here we go. I germinated 7 seeds (bagseed of some purpe) in 2 pieces of paper towels, and then put them in a ziplock bag, and set them on top of my cable box, for the warmth. The next day the seeds had already cracked. So I put each seed into 16 ounce disposable cups just to get them started. By day 1 in the cups they already popped out. I am using 8 26 watt cfl daylight (6500k) hooked up to Y connectors for veg. For soil i'm using Expert Gardener Perfect Mix from Wal-Mart. I do not plan on using any nutes for the veg cycle since the soil is packed with nutes already. For my flowering cycle I am using 2 65 watt (2700k) and 6 42 watt (2700k) CFL's. For nutes I am not sure what type I will use for this grow, since I've never used cfl's only for seedlings, becuase I do have a 400 watt hps/mh system in Arizona, but do to work I am in North Carolina. So, for nutes I usually use either Fox Farm or Tiger Bloom. For this special grow I might go with Jack's 5-50-17 which is a high grade phosphorus, and high potassium with non-urea source of nitrates fertilizer. I would suspect the plants would go crazy for this during flowering. This is actually for orchids. I am always open for suggestions, and post some of your own cfl grows, so I can get more ideas. i will answer any of your questions as well. Well ,check out the pics I have posted thus far. The pics are as follows:leaf:

You can already see crystalization. One of my plants looks like it either has a disease or is lacking some type of nutes I will need to look into it. I'll keep you posted.... Also, pictures of the 65 watt (massive), 42 watt, and the 26 along side eachother. All of these bulbs work in a standard light socket.:leaf:

Clear cups = dead roots

light kills your roots, you should either wrap something light proof around the cups or put them in new ones that arent see through....you dont wanna hurt your babies :weed::weed::weed:

ok u said one of them looks like it has a desease thats becuase ur soild has nutes in it
when ur baby is this young it dont need nutes yet
u have to wait till they are like 3 or 3 1/2 weeks old before feeding them
at this young they have what they need to survive till then
ur going to give nute burn or already have it
and another thing is when u have soil with time release in it ,its not good
cuase ur plant doesnt need to be fed everytime u water them its like an overdose and u could get nute burn or even lock out. and then what if u want to give it some nutes cuase of a certain prob that u want to fix u cant cuase when u do its going to have a bunch of everything in there and its going to mess things up more
try to get soil with no nutes in there.

I am going to switch from the cups to 2 gallon buckets in the morning, thanks bro, peace.

So when I transplant them I sould switch to a non nute soil. The plant that had the problem is actually looking 100% percent better. Here is a picture of it that I took like 3 hours ago.

if u want use it but down the line ur going to want to put nutes in and wont be able to cuase whats in there already will give an overdose and burn or lock out everything
its up 2 u though its ur grow
nothing like learning

I will switch the soil in the morning when I transplant, because your right when I do begin to flower I will be adding 5-50-17 FERTILIZER, thanks for the advice bro.
