That's good information everyone, Thank you.

8 degrees warmer sounds good. I'm not going to be worried during the over 100 degree heat down here in the summer because this grow area will be well ventilated and in the center of the structure. 15 feet away from any wall or ceiling.

I'm thinking this heat could work in my favor. I may start germinating the 5 Venus & 5 Wonder Woman FEM seeds I have and give it a try out in the shed. It doesn't get down to FREEZING so they should be OK if I run 24/7 for the first month or so eh ?

go to Easy Grow and get one of their IR blocking foils then cover your grow space
get Silver Lightite Diamond Diffusion Foil, or Silver White Lightite Sheeting
these will block IR from seeing anything through
i have my grow room covered with those
if your using any Secret Jardin DR tent, they are already coated inside!

yall cats crack me up sometime... depending on your location is were they search for heat. I was waatching a DEA and drug bust show last night. The busted a big opp with over 20 hps lights and 10 mh. It didnt give all the specifics on the equipment but i cleary saw thaat the were all mh and hps lights. It was a 2 story house in detroit weere they are searched all the time. They had to get a warrant, fly a helicopter over the house to makee sure on thermal heating and still with 20+ lights they were having trouble figuring the house out..
What do you guys think that hps and mh were made for? us growers..? NO, I live in a nice suburbia area in tx and i could bet that 60% of the bigger 2 story houses use 400 watt metal haide fllod lights for wsecurity at night. Theres even people around here with one one the front of the house, and one on the back... So there using 1200 watts of metal halidesPlus all the indoor lights.. And watt about barns and storage areas were you running thousands of watts of light?

It cost money to find and worry about everyones little bs grows. They sited on the show that with the warrants to find, steaking out, taping phone calls aand runninga infared over the hous cot the govt nearly 7k dollars...


In other words, dont be scared. This isnt csi guys..

They do use FLIR to check for heat being vented out. Only if they are suspect to your house. Make sure you vent under the house or out the dryer vent. Stay off the phone or get a prepaid. Don't deal out of your house!

I have seen seriously porkchoppers flying over in the past. Also small planes. They are looking for outdoor grows though. Barney Fife gets reps for finding 2-3 plants around here.

when i was overseas the other group used blankets and we couldn't tell they were even there. Just a thought. Flir has come along way since that vid to. Plus they can't use it unless they have a warrant. You will be fine.
