Mylar FTW!

So I had always seen mylar as a bit of grower "voodoo". I always knew it would help but I didn't think it would make any noticible difference. So I had some that I had ordered a few months back and I put it up in my grow area. It was a HUGE pain in the ass to get it all in there but I did. It also worked out nicely to get rid of that alien like glow that came from my HPS shining in the window at night.

The worst part was that it worked so well, it dried out some of my seedlings so much that I think they might be dead. I gave everything under the light a BIG drink and put my little cylindrical rockwool into the bigger rockwool cubes with the same sized hole. I know they hold water a lot better.

Anyways kids, the moral of the story here is that mylar=more light to the plants=bigger plants=less time they have to spend "fattining up"=electric bill savings!

when the shit gets dirty its garbage though, it just dont clean well at all. i prefer cheap flat white paint. when it gets dirtly or otherwise fucked up, give er another coat and call it a day.

stays relevant.
Panda Film or Black/White Poly cleans very well... I have no problems when I spray a light cleaning solution and wipe down with a paper towel.

I usually have to do this every few weeks as the buds from some of my plants occasionally touch the poly covering a window, and it makes the sheeting sticky...

i foliar spray more than most, so when i had mylar i had to change it every other month because the spray would make water spots that just wouldnt wash off. my paint stays good for a year or more. panda film is good stuff too.

There is only a 2% or so difference in optimal mylar or optimal pure white flat paint.... So just pick whatever you want to work with and keep either fresh and clean or repainted, whatever you prefer. Using any plastic sheeting has downsides that paint doesn't.

I like the fact that you can wrap mylar smoothly(quarter round) around corners, eliminating "dead spots".
