how long til fully cured?

after i trim and put the buds in jars in a cool dark room, how long do i have to let them sit before they are cured good enough to smoke. thanks im sure this is a easy question to answer but im a newb.

thats a personal choice my friend....once you chop and hang them...once dry to touch you can certainly smoke it.....some curring takes months....pending the humidity levels where drying...example......60% humidity and took me 14-days to dry prior to putting them in jars...40% humidity it only took 3-days to crisp up and jar them.

ok so once i put them in the jars they r ready to smoke? i thought i heard somewhere that u need to let them sit in the jars for months.

you can smoke it after drying, curing on the other hand is not really all about drying, its more about breaking down the cloraphil or whatever its called..

curing will refine the taste and provide a smooth smoke as opposed to the good old choke effect.
