bigger buds with hps

After a few successful months under cfls, we switched to the t-5 in the veg room and hps in our bud room and we haven't been able to believe the difference in growth rate. We added co2 to the bud room and veg room in the last 3 weeks and have seen 20% faster growth rate plus the buds look to be getting bigger. We plan to harvest the 2 plants I have attached photos of in the next 4 weeks. Hard to tell what we might get for yield. Keep ya posted.

Holy shit those things went crazy bushy with leaves everywhere. Looks more like a hedge type plant, like you should shape it into a topiary.

What wattage is in your flower room to support those, and do you use supplemental lights on the bottom?

They look very very healthy. Nice job.

See folks, this is why I try to get people to skip cfl's, take aerogardens back, and do whatever it takes to get a HPS even if it's a used converted low bay or cheap vapor tight or whatever... You just can't do this with shitty lights, and yes you can do this with a ton of cfl's but it would take double the wattage of a HPS and a lot more work.

While you're at it just describe your veg lights and everything in detail as far as how long you vegged and how far away the lights were and etc, so people know how to grow as well as you did...

Congrats on the healthy bush you have there. I have to agree with OregonMeds on this one. CFL's do terrific for veg but no power or penetration for flowering. If you were to flower that bushy beast with something with intensity (i.e. HPS / MH) you'll see buds popping up allover the place but if you were to continue to flower with just cfl's, your lucious bush will have lackluster buds. I use 2 x 150w & I WISH i had a 400w to get 'em a little more cushin for the puffin. Checkout htgsupply for an inexspensive HID setup...a 400w can be had for under $140 shipped. Other than that, great job so far!

cfl are for like the 2 weeks during seeds or clones for 24/7
after that mh/hps all the way..

i would not grow without it...
