i think you can get more on the second go round, i mean think about it, once the plant goes back in to veg it has the mother of all head starts, a thick stem that people do all kinds of super cropping and stuff to replicate, plus it has a fully developed root system so it has a real advantage going for it also, i have done this in the past and get best results by leaving most of the scragly buds on it that way it still has a decent amount of plant matter on it to use for photosynthesis, plus once it regenerates you will have what amounts to a multiple topped plant which gives more than enough choices for strong clones, if you were to take samples of the regen. vs a new plant branch for branch im sure the regen would beat it out, plus the time frame before next harvest is shorter, the only drawback to all this is plant stress, sometimes all this can push a plant to go herme...no more than feminized seeds though and for indoors space is usually a limiting factor, so yeah if you have a sweet strain i say regenerate it, you can always keep it as a mother
