the conversion bulb (metal halide) is for vegative stage and the high pressure sodium is for flowering.
Metal halide is good in the veg stage, because it promotes stronger leaf structure, rapid growth and excellent root growth.
you can you hps for ved and flowering though. hps is just not as effective for veg like mh

it depend on your kilowatt and 18/6 for veg
for example
1 1000 watter ran for 18 on a nd 6 off for 30 days = $95.04 a month and that's at 16 cents per kilowatt
so it depends on you rkilowatt it canada where you live. you could also buy a cool tube to keep the heat away from you seedlings.

hell ya. where I am @. we are allowed the baseline of 151 kwh @ 11 cents per. then it goes up in incriments and caps out @ 44 cents. Fuck! I had over 800 @ my house (not incl my grow), in the highest category, let alone the rest!!

you should only stick with a few plants unless you can afford a decent electric bill.
Also jumps in your electric bill calls for suspition from the electric company and inturn calls for unwanted guests.....
