I agree. Not to say who is right or wrong. But anyway, Got any new pics?? I'd like to see their progress.its all good lets just stick to my girls
who btw are looking better by the day
Pick it and have yourself an early sample. Sure can't hurt. In fact I like doing that just for fun.on a little diffrent topic i have a budding female some 65 70 days in shes got a little bud on the bottom that has finshed somehow ahead of everyone else. should i clip it and dry it/ smoke it or wait till everything is done.
that was on my blackberry ill get some better shots of her in a couple days, shes got a nice tight cola that smells skunky as hellThat first pic is pretty dark. If you want good photo's you need more light. Do you have a flash or is that a phone? If you can, and have some daylight cfl's they work nice for pics. It shows the real colors well IMO. That looks like a nice big bud though. Nice job.
Good looking plant - you've retained some nice leaves which is key to production. Leaf color looks good and she'll bulk up nicely as long as you maintain the leaves in a GREEN healthy condition.that was on my blackberry ill get some better shots of her in a couple days, shes got a nice tight cola that smells skunky as hell
It really depends on the temp, humidity ect. at least a few days before the jar. The more you break it up the faster it will dry. Make the stem as small as you can for faster drying. I would put it somewhere really warm. I've put some on top of my light to dry faster. Little buds like that I just force them to dry faster. I would not worry about putting it in a jar to cure. Even put it in the oven at like 170 deg. to dry. I know it won't taste as good as a proper dry but it is only a little sample bud. Dry it quick and smoke it. Also a cool way I found is if you have a clothes dryer with the rack for it to lay things on so they don't tumble like they would Is better than the oven IMO. But keep in mind that when the stem breaks instead of bending it's dry.how long will that little bud take to hang dry ? like a day im thinking then the jar for a week
u should read the whole thread its only like 3 pages on any other forum. we just have short pages here. I have 2 150 watt HPS on my garden. The big female has its own 15o watt HPS as well. so when shes done the garden will get that as well. so 450 HPS watts on 10 plants is just right.Good looking plant - you've retained some nice leaves which is key to production. A few comments about your garden - not enough light looking at your first post. If you're gonna use CFL's, then get those lamps close to the plants or they will stretch like a mofo, don't care if the CFL's output is as blue as robin's egg. I have started seedlings with 4' long shop light tubes and maintained the lamp height so that the leaves were either touching the fluor's glass or damn close to it. When the leafset's footprint of my plants grew outside of the reflector's footprint, they went under HPS.
FWIW, the footcandle reading of a 4' fluor is about 1,800 f.c. taken 1" away. Compare that with the f.c. of the sun, high noon, clear summer day - 10,000 f.c. Buy and use a light meter that registers to 10,000 f.c. It'll be the best investment you can make if you intend to continue your hobby. Becoming a master gardener is all about becoming a master tweaker.
The pot for the Blackberry is way oversized for its size. That's OK if you know how to handle your watering drills and the soil is fairly open. Read my sig link regarding overwatering, it will cause leaf curl if you have induced root loss.
Good luck,
UB
thanks im so nervous to even take a little bud off her. ive grown outdoor a few times and never took buds of them earlyIt really depends on the temp, humidity ect. at least a few days before the jar. IF, you actually know what the plant is receiving. Those plants are too leggie with too much leaf drop. The big female has its own 15o watt HPS as well. so when shes done the garden will get that as well. so 450 HPS watts on 10 plants is just right.
Well said UB, When I first started growing indoors my light meter was probably one of my most usefull tools. It really helped to be able to see how much light was where. It showed me that it wasn't always where I thought the best light was. (or should say the strongest). It was just a cheap meter but I could check it against sunlight and then compair to my lights. Just to get some kind of idea or base to start.IF, you actually know what the plant is receiving. Those plants are too leggie with too much leaf drop.
Taking a few buds has no influence on plant health, vigor or production.
1. The only REAL thing that matters in this biz is producing and maintaining the most amount of root mass and foliage that you can, until harvest,
2. Forget about the buds, they'll come in due time if you understand the importance of #1.
