Sandstorm and Powerskunk, FIRST GROW

Hey guys, I started a new thread on my grow journal because the seedling stage took a little longer than I thought it would. My plants are now making progress at a decent pace.

For those who didn't see my other thread a few week back, I'm growing Cannabiogen's Sandstorm and the free Power Skunk from Attitude.

Oh yeah, I have a bagseed as well. I found the bagseed on the ground when I was about to sprout the other seeds and I though, why not give it a shot?

Ironically, the bagseed is the biggest plant of them all. I FIM'ed it two days ago so the others may be able to catch up.

I have a 4x4x8 room with a 400w MH :( . I have 14 total plants, all in 5 gal buckets. After I transplanted into the 5 gal, I heard I should have gone smaller at first lol... oh well.

They are all in Fox Farm's Ocean Forest soil mixed 30% perlite. I am feeding them Pure Vida Organic nutes at 1/2 strength atm. They get about 1 1/2 water bottles worth of nutrient mixed water. If I remember, the water will sit out for a day before using it to feed.
About a half hour before I feed, I place two airstones in the water and pump o2 in there with an air pump.

I'm running a 171cfm vortex fan (not a real vortex, an off-brand) and that runs for 15min on/15 min off. Those are the only setting I can do, due to the Hydrofarm timer I have.

Please give me feedback on what you think of how I'm doing and what you think I should be doing.

It's saying theres some security issue when I try posting pics so I'm going to post with photobucket. Hopefully these pics aren't huge. I didn't take a pic of every plant but I got all the Power Skunks cause I've seen people asking about those... got most of the others.

PS. 10 Sandstorm, 3 Power Skunk, 1 Bagseed

This is hopefully what the Sandstorm will end up looking like.

PS. All the sativa looking plants are the Power Skunks. I also showed a pick of where I FIM'ed on the bagseed. And.... the bagseed is the biggest one in the pics.

I haven't been feeding them nutes and they've been keeping up just fine with the others that have been getting them. They actually had a fairly good germination too lol. 2 of the 5 didn't pop though.

I've heard 12 weeks. Hopefully I can still keep you around but I'm throwing the Power Skunk outside just to see what will happen because my buddy just gave me 4 white rhino seeds. Those, I know will be better.

12 weeks, ill wait till spring and grow them outside!!
haha yeah thats what I'm saying. Way too long to stay in my indoor garden. And, thank you cheetah.

I put the White Rhino seeds in a shot glass with water at 8:15 last night and they still haven't sunk yet. It's 12:10 right now.

I'm thinking about breeding a white rhino male with a sandstorm female or vise versa. What do you guys think?

True that. The only thing is, I don't know if I was to grow from seed again lol. I think clones would be so much faster. But hey, what if I end up making an elite clone? I'll call it the White Storm ahaha. Or maybe the Sand Rhino lol. I need to read up on breeding though so I can actually select certain characteristics that I want on the plant. Is it true that you get mutants a lot of the time when you breed two plants together for the first time?

It day 23 now. Only a few odd things going on that I'm not sure of. Two of my plants have a mix between green and yellow in their leaves. They've been doing that for about... 4 days now. 1 has been doing it for a little over a week but still looks fine. The other thing is, some leaves on various plants are starting to curl upwords. I raised the light three inches yesterday and it looked like it decreased the curl SLIGHTLY but I don't think by much. And their not getting burned, so I don't think the light is the problem. The soil is barely moist so I don't think its overwatering. Their due for a feeding in not too long. I also thought it could be a N defficiency but, I've already given them nutes at half strenght. If you have any idea, please let me know.

Other than that, everything is looking great. Temps are staying around 70-75 and humidity between 40-50%.

3 of the 4 White Rhino bagseeds had a taproot this morning so I placed them in FF ocean forest soil under two 20w fluoro tubes, on top of a heating pad. Lights on 24 hours a day unless suggested otherwise. I left the last seed in the paper towel, hoping something will happen since it was the best looking seed in the beginning.

Below are some pics of whats happening in the grow room.

Hey wretched! Glad to see your on board. Cannabiogen recommends that you veg for 30 days. I'm assuming thats after the germination period. Unfortunatly I'm going to have to flower on day 40 after seed so I think its a little early but it has to be done. Since it will be 2 months till you can see the finished product, I might as well let you know a little about Sandstorm, or at least what I've noticed lol. Sandstorm is a very very slow starter. The first two weeks hardly any progress is made. Later on though you can see them start to pick up quite a bit. I have read in another forum that once they do get goin, their goin. Unfortunatly I can't veg them long enough to see that :(. The smoke reports I have heard, are phenomenal. Yeild - ok, not huge. And just from what you and i have both seen, the pics look beatiful haha. Heres some pics of this morning. I have a week left till I flip the lights.

ps. the big plant is bagseed I found on the floor.. lol. The lil guys in the red cups were just put in this morning. That is some bagseed white rhino. And the sativa lookin plants are Power Skunk.
