I recieved my mister the other day...no more clogged drip lines and the coverage is amazing by hydro plants have grown quite a bit in two days with the mister/fogger unit. I run it for two hours twice a day and it seems to be working great. No more drip for me, no more cleaning out clogged lines...woot:mrgreen:

They can saturate everything they are near, plus the manual says you should never run them for more than eight hours at a time. But for hydro apps they will eventually come through the grow pots and you will have the most humid room before you know it. Two hours at a time works great for me.

I use one of those in my set up. The one I have float/ac adapter. It runs it all the time in there with the drip heads going. I have a heavy duty water pump and air pump in there to help circulation.

Now that I located my camera I will take some pictures of it in action, you can't even see the water ubderneath it after about 5 mins of running it, and my plants seem to like it. But like I said the beuty of no more clogged water pump lines and no need for a water pump is great...

Like I said I'll do a grow journal when I am ready to start a new batch. I have some Grapefruit x Neville haze or some opium (marijuana) for my next grow, I'm leaning towards the opium, maybe you guys could help me out by picking the one that you would rather see. I've never grown or smoked either...that I know of.

Cool, you really run it all day? I was getting some high humidity when I did that...my room is in the basement so that could be my problem. I just use the airstones for circulation. Do you like the mister? And have you used it for a whole grow? I also have the float with mine.

Yes I took them out but Chiceh doesn't I guess it personal preference. But they get the roots real good and they moisten the rockwool so I saw no need for the water pump, I just use my three airstones to circulate the water. Don't get me wrong I like the drip system until the roots take over and clog up everything. This unit right here comes with one

HydroFlora Systems for Indoor Closet Hydroponic Grow Boxes / Chambers

and sunlight sheds uses them in their caddy and what not. They sell just the fogger for 50.00, you can find them cheaper.

Me personally I would go with the mister/fogger knowing what I know now. I've only had it for two days so keep that in mind. Dude those lines will clog, especially when you get roots, it happens a lot. I've eliminated the drip totally from my system, Chiceh keeps the drip going. He probably has a good reason which I want to hear, he's done whole grows and I haven't. He says that he keeps the airpump for circulation which is good, it's probably better than just using airstones like me but I don't know for sure. Anyway my thinking has been why would I need the drip once my roots hit the water? And now that I have a fogger I really see no need for the drip at all. The vapor moistens my rockwool just fine. I put my hand in the container with the mister on and it took about five seconds before my hand was wet, and drippy wet after about 20 seconds...and yes it looks cool..lol

ya i was reading the plans that BCenvy put up for a diy dwc/bubbleponicks,i think im going to build that one but im thinking of getting the fogger instead of the pump.that 14 plant system, the one you have posted, those must be 3"net pots, that would be very little plants.

yes it would be but if you're doing a sog it's more than adequate.
