I have attached a picture of my first plants. they are about a week and a half old after gemination. A couple of them have purple stems? and the shorter ones have all green stems.. I was wondering if they look healthy and some watering tips as well as lighting?

Just new at this shit.

I'd get them in seperate containers ASAP. The longer you leave it, the more chance that their roots will tangle together, and you may shock or kill them when you try to seperate them later.

Purple stems could be attributed to the temp or even genetics but usually nothing to worry about. try to relax. Peace :joint:

Eh bro, I think you should put your lights within 2-3 inches if they are cfls, because they look like they are strecting. Also, throw a fan on the to strengthe the stems, because once you flower the stems need to be very thick to support the buds and new growth.

Bro you got to get better lighting you plants are stretching. Just go to walmart and buy like 6 daylight 6500k cfls and put them within 2-3 inches from the top of you plants. Your planys are streching for lights, and this is not good, becasue when you flower the stems will not be strong enough to hold the buds. Get the lights and a fan to stregthen the stems. Also, once the get back on track transplant the and bury the stem until the water leaves sit 1 inch above the soil.

GET MORE LIGHT ASAP!!!!!!

they looking better you should really read the grow faqs and learn as much as you can...the people on here take growing very serious so you have to do your part and educate yourself its alot of information on there so take your time. im a newbie and I have been reading the grow faqs everyday for 4 months and I still learn something everytime I read it

ok heres the deal with that one. It was completely drooped down over the cup (looked like it was a goner). I put one of my other lights (not sure what kind but it gets pretty hot unlike the other ones im using) and it shot straight up, stem grew thick really quick and then it did that so i was thinking it got burnt from the hot lamp??? it was about half an inch from it.
