Bare Bones Grow

Whats up guys? This will be the forum I keep my grow journel in. What im really doing is to see the best possible results from a bare bone grow. Using 3 CFL light, dirt, water, and thats all. Never really tried simpling it and wanna see the effects. I have 3 seeds planted at the moment and a fan to sweep the air. starting 24/7 lights on with watering every other day or so. Lets see what we get out of a crappy grow. WISH ME LUCK ha!

Well since the whole point is to see the best product I can get under the worst conditions I used some just plain old soil you can pic up cheap.
As far as lighting im using two 40w cfls in regular metal overhang domes. Along with the overhang light hood that you see in barns with the double long cfl lights in them.
The strain is unknown as far as name. It was more of less some very good seed finding on my part. Just dug through a bag of some very good product I had and was lucky enough to find three seeds in very good health and size.

Yeah man good luck for sure bro. As im sure u have seen on here people can do amazing things with very little. I saw a post where dude grew a fatty cola with just an 18w cfl. Im sure ull get something outta it. Check out mine in my signature link. Good luck ma8

Oh im sure ill get something if it even lives under these conditions lol. If so im very good as saving and getting the most out of what im growing. So there is a very good chance that with the product smoked before hand, I could still very well end up with some 4ft of fun haha.

Lol you could indeed i just looked at my babies and there growing inches by the day! 4 ft might be a bit ambitious with 3 cfls but hey shoot for the moon right. Im willing to bet that youl end up with something better than what u smoked. Luv the plant and it will love u back.....or at least get u really stoned. last year i grew some bagseed outdoors and it ended up so bomb i sold it as cron no problem. its all in how you take care of it. Well im off to smoke another one and pass out. Keep us posted. We all love progress around here!!

Yes 4ft might be much, but like you said shoot for the moon. I suppose I just have a lot of support for myself and the plant. I have not failed a plant in a while so id love to see this one still flourish. Its also amazing to me how even some of the worst grows from friends ive had turn out better then most the bunk Mj I have seen sold. You must really have to not take care of your plant to end up like that. But anyhow I must not be doing to bad. Today would be day 2 and i already see one about ready to bust through soil. Will see how she looks in the morning. Off to do that same thing.

btw your babys look great so far keep it up.
 
I am actually doing something similar. I am growing a 12 inch tall plant (it is a strain my buddy breeded simply named n-6) I pulled from my main room and it only has 5 nodes its a month and a week or so old. it is planted in a 3 litre bottle with schultz seedling starter and alot of pearlite I am only using a 50w led and i might use a few 68w 2700k cfls maybe a 6500k 65w cfl as well. so like 50w min led up to 251 watts of cfl maybe. so far the led hasnt given the plant enough light to even move towards it, it seems to prefer a window that doesnt provide much light so yeah im doubting the led's capabilities. here is a picture or two of it under the led.

They dont look to be doing to bad Drgreen. I would use a 6500k cfl for veg and the 2700k for flowering. Best spectrum from a cfl on those.
To get better results go with both and when it gets into flowering switch up the 6500k with another 2700-2500k. Itll give you a little extra spectrum boost.
Ive done a little testing on this as well. If you stick with an overhang 6500k and two 2700k from sides shining down youll get a good start. Then in preflowering (more or less 2-1 week before flowering) switch to a 2700k over top with two 6500k on sides youll get a very good grow from a limited cfl.
Just because 2700k is the best spectrum during flowering doesnt mean it doesnt need the other spectrum. Alot of people over look that.
 
Feb 6th: I can see two of my babys peaking at me just under a couple grains of soil. The Third one is nowhere to be seen. Either I messed up or he is just the runt. Who knows, we shall see!

That sounds cute. Ha yeah I use all of the cfl's I can get my hands on for this. I only have 3 of em i use to start seedlings and such but they are decent at best. Turning on their side does really help tho its the greatest discovery of all cfl discoverys. wow leds suck

Haha. I really like my plants. They seem so much like a child to raise ha.

Lol every time i walk in my room i say something like "how are my lovely ladies doing this evening" "ahh looking extrordinay as usual" and i use the sean connery voice for some reason.....wow sounds kinda insane on paper lol

ha thats fucking weird i use a sean connery voice as well. Prolly cuz he's a pimp
