I want to start now, but im unsure on what supplies to use.

I have thread...hey, its a start...

how can I mount the thread to my pots?

Poke lil holes in the lip around the pot and tie the thread to that! Tie a big loop around the plant not a tight knot :) good fun i have a weed vine flowering now i call that technique hst high stress training! Pics in my journal a few pages from the end!

make sure the thread isnt too thin becuase it could slice the stem/stalk. I heard its wasy to drill little screws around the lip of the pot to tie the string onto. But its all the same.

I took the training tip, but I didn't exactly do any "LST".

I took my tallest lankiest girl, and and pinched her stock gently until I heard the "pop". She is laying over flat barely holding her weight but I think she'll be fine. I seen someone do this with impressive results and shes my tallest girl BY Far so I figured why not..

This 1st grow is supposed to be a learning experience anyway.

Ok so im back. Did some work on the room tonight and gave them a little bit of plain water. I also gave them a shower this morning before the lights came on to get rid of some of the dust on them. They seemed to appreciate it. Im going to do it again tomorrow maybe with a little bit of nitrogen.
The humidity gauge read an approximate 10% difference in the humidity and the tempature was SPOT on for the first two hours, but when I went to take the pictures they were about level. Who knows, stupid gauges.. :wall:

But atleast my plants are growing :bigjoint::leaf:

Ohh, and almost forgot...
Added some weather stripping and a door sweep to get rid of all light escapes.

ANDDD 1 more coat of mud...damn that stuff SUCKS.
Yeah Bro - looks great! I love those pots - one of our local shops just got those in and I can't wait to use some.

As for humidity - don't trip - you will be so thankful you live in a dry area. When those plants get a bit bigger the humidity will skyrocket at night... you could have bought a dehumidifier! 45% RH is optimum for flowering - keeping em at that in a couple weeks will take all of your venting - don't worry about throttling the airflow - the carbon filter will decrease your CFM's too (and quiet air noise down a bit). You can also purchase a rotary fan controller to hook up to your Vortex - and dial in the desired fan speed. You can purchse one at your hydro store for $60 or get a router controller for about $20 at the hardware store. One more thing - while I don't see it in your pictures, I'm sure you have some sort of fan moving air around the room and keeping those plants moving a bit?

OGK is the best! Keep up the good work! Thanks for sharing with us!

Dang Lionsroor thanks for the awesome post.

I have a intake/exhaust fan that I have BOTH on exhaust standing up straight. The top fan blows onto the canopy on its high setting while the bottom fan blows on its low setting the humidified air.

Girls are looking great except for the one I pinched lol. We'll see how she reacts by morning time.

Here is my tallest, lankiest girl. She is way to spread out for my liking so I broke her main stalk yesterday in hopes to get her to do some funny stuff (experiment) ... shes already standing straight up though. Time to TIE her ass down!

A bit bushier, more of my liking..

You can see where she was laying on her side yesterday.. not no more.. hopefully it toughens her skinny ass up!!

Some new growth..

some foliage

I could take pictures all day..

Well,.. maybe.

comments suggestions criticism rages rants jokes welcome

when you super crop, you want to pinch the stem below the nodes. I dont thyink you want to actually pinch the main stalk. Id say supercrop when they a bigger. LST for now

Unfortunately there are only two side branches below the pinch on that one. I plan on cutting them off anyway to promote growth up top. Its a plant I topped so we'll see the results.

here are the pics.. they're seriously loving it right now. Temps and humidity is perfect... yaa
I'm getting excited. They're starting to take off. Hopefully they EXPLODE soon. I'm starting to see some stretch in some of them..any techniques to get rid of the stretch?

LST soon for sure...

They aren't stretchin' man. These motheffuckers are UNRULY! I'll snap some pics today for you so you can see. I assure you they aren't stretched, I've had my light RIGHT down on them and they still look like that. I have 4 plants that are a different unknown strain, but they look super compact and the OG's are just acting like Jack Herrer and gettin' all "Super Sativa" on me over here. I'm switching to 12/12 today and I'm a bit nervous to see what happens.

I LSTed and topped all my OG's just to ATTEMPT to keep the canopy level and they are still winning out. Fortunately I'm planning to run 2 lights so the tall unruly fuckers will be under one and the ones that stay smaller will be under the other.

Good luck again, your shit's looking nice. And don't worry they will EXPLODE soon enough.

know why the look stretched? Because they are growing ;)

No, youd be able to tell if they were stretched. Sativas always look stretched and i think Sativas look ugly. Although i like the high better then Indica. These def look like how they are supposed too

oh ya? :D :D Thats good news.

I noticed some ARE stretching more then others and thats where the stretching comment came from. Thats alright I live with that.. just makes everything else more fun by tieing down etc.

i want to start LST'ing soon just need to get some good supplies. I'd like to use a good size string to tie it to, with shishcabob :D sticks in each corner of each pot.

Thanks everyone... when they're done, FAT SMOKEOUT AT VAPOR BROS HOUSE!

yeah thats fine with me yo.

Drill holes in your pots because the plants will just bend the sticks your talking about. They get pretty strong man. My smallest branches pull bobby pins out of the dirt
