I dunno where you live, but in My world the people who sell it set the prices. I agree, supply and demand sets the guidelines, BUT dealers are the only ones selling it for top dollar, and they will be the ones to raise the price when they feel like it.
I grow, and I sell my product for 40% less then what I could be charging people for it. It doesnt cost me any more to make it so why should I charge more?
Prices go up when a dealer is too lazy to run his phone, so he pays some kid to run it for him. I dont know Any dealers doubling their money selling weed. Not if they are buying and selling.
There's no long term dealers. Every dealers goal is to sit at home and do Nothing while someone runs their phone for them. Now instead of 1 person trying to profit from buying and selling, You have 2 people, so prices go up.
If you take the Dealers out of the equation then the prices Drop. Weed becomes legal, dealing isnt very profitable, prices drop. The dealers are the ONLY ones worried about prices dropping if it gets legalized.
I dont know Any growers who would be mad if weed got legalized and prices dropped. It would still cost the same to produce, its just less risk to grow and sell.
