OK got a couple questions. My baby plant that I had to transfer the two smooth leafs that first come out are brown. Should I leave them or pinch them off of the plant? The other two fan leaves are coming out. There really small. I think I did stunt the plants growth when I had to make that transfer from one pod to the other. I don't really care though just that it is still alive shocks me. :weed: Another question for ya'll. I have heard if you use regular foil you should use the shiny side. I have also heard not to use the shiny side. Do any of ya'll use foil and what way do you face it pointing toward the plants? Also The under part of one of my plants leaves is turning purple is that because it is cold? I have heard this could be the problem before. I did have a fan on it but its been a couple days now and the color is still there and on both of my 2 plants stems to. Also If my plants fan leaves had a little brown spot on one leaf should I pinch it off or leave it alone? Does anyone else get green on the top of there pods? Like alge? I have been removing it from all the tops of my pods with a q-tip. Thanks :hug:

Aluminum foil is a bad idea alltogether. Mylar is extremely cheap ($2 for like 10 sq feet in camping section)

Purple on stems/new leaves is pretty normal.

Leave the fan leaves alone, if the tips are 100% dead, that's fine to trim off the dead part, but other than that just let them grow.

Do they sell Mylar at wal-mart? I have also heard of people getting those car reflectors that go in there window so it dont mess up the dash. Anyone know about that? Its the bottom set of leaves the first fan ones that came out. And both plants have purple stems. So it is heard of so thats good. I was worried. This is my first grow using the AG other than the one plant I had my cat got into my walkin closet and I found my plant on the floor guess she tried to eat it or play with it. It was about 5-6 days old though so not to big of a deal. Thanks so much. kiss-ass lol

ok quick qustion im bout to run to home depo an grad sum wood an bulid a lil grow room an i waz wondering wat hps mean alos were does it say 6400 or 2700 on the package for the cfls?

it should have a lil diagram with the specifics on the package, Daylight for vegging, Softwhite for flowering

Yea in the camping section. I got mine from a first aid kit though.

Props to the thread, excellent info.

Where can you get the more powerful CFLS and HPs bulbs from that can fit in the AG?
I keep finding them on the net but they dont have the same fitting as the bulbs the AG came with

im not sure how to, but u might be able to rewire the base of the aedrogarden bulb to a more powerful light.youd have to ook into how to do that though.

Hey AG'ers... i found a thread from an old post where a guy made his own home made cool tube out of a tempered glass candle holder he bought from walmart. he only spent $100 bucks to do it( duct fan costing $60)... it pretty cool how he did it and he's inspired me to make my own... i would like to know what my fellow AG'ers have to add or subtract to the eqaution or if anyone is up for trying it with me on their end (two heads betters than one). no disrespect to the crew but LURk and KORVETTE your opinions would definately be appreciated. google it as cool tube hps and it should be the first one. thanks... Keep it green

didn't mean to leave you out of that loop SICC... i've been phantomly following your advice as well... i just finished my first go around and they all turned out males... i'm continuing the grow to get some flowering experience since i dont have any quality beans right now...you guys have helped me out tremendously, and by sharing this cool tube project i hope i can establish some worth with you guys...

My cats do the same thing. I thought the smell wouldn't come until they were older and drying them out. My oldest is about 2 weeks old now and it smells already. Thanks for the replys and help everyone.:mrgreen:
