glad to see some people speaking up on this thread, i was about to give up hope 
personally, i can't wait until us humans destroy ourselves and leave the planet in peace. it's just a shame we're taking/taken some other species with us. we're disgusting, and incredibly retarded. there's nothing superior about us at all, in my opinion.
destruction is the only thing we do well. and that looks set to continue.
all we do is need and want, if something stands in the way of that then we simply destroy it with out "superiority"

i saw this show on Discovery awhile back, about what would happen to the earth after all the humans were gone. It showed what would happen 100, 300, 500, 1000, etc. years after. Its crazy cuz humans basically DESTROYED the earth. but eventually the earth will go back to its natural state, after we are all gone.glad to see some people speaking up on this thread, i was about to give up hope

I mean you guys wouldnt eat chickens that lived in cages theire whole lfife where they couldnt even trun around, constantly in their own feces, would you. Or dairy from cows shot up with hormones and antibiotics, that are constantly impregnated and then their calf immediately stolen from them. You guys wouldnt do that right. that discovery channel shit sounds cool, but it'll never happen. if anything at all is ever alive on earth it'll be man. So long as even a cockroach lives, mankind would still be here after a nuclear holocaust. The earth is stuck with us for better or (i'm sure) worse.
as for the bloke claiming 'intelligent design' makes you superior to all other creatures... sounds like a Jehova's Witness - and i could go all day on that topic. They beleive we are not related to monkeys. That their is no spiritual existence after death (until judgment day). And that -exactly- 144,000 devout Jehovahs will serve God as the Kings and Rulers of the people that are allowed to live in the newly formed Earth Paradise. I stick to my earlier statement. The world would be a lot better off with more dogs and cats in it and less people.
but man... i'm afraid to say i went to Golden Corral the other day and the first thing i did was put -11- different kinds of meat onto a Plate 'O Meat.
(Then i had a Plate 'O Desserts.) and there just aint a really good and humane way to KILL something. The spike through the back of the skull is actually a fairly quick and painless way to go.
Being one of the biggest producers of pork in the damn country though... they could of had someone on hand to look after the sick pigs. Just because they are sick and need to be separated doesn't mean they should also be starved to death. Love the piggies. Make them happy little piggies. Then kill them with the spike (Gently.)
