What to do with the Keef from my grinder??

I know I probably didn't spell it right but hopefully you know what i'm talking about. I have one of those grinders with the screen at the bottom so the keef goes through and adds up and at the end I think you make hash?? But I'm not sure.

The first couple of times that I did it, I tried smoking it and that didn't work out so well lol

I'm sure plenty of other people have these grinders so hopefully someone can give me some advice :joint:

The KIEF, which is extracted trichomes, or resin glands, are what we make HASH from.

We have to bake them in a cake, or PRESS them into a cake, to get them to burn properly.

go to youtube, google "youtube, make hash" for some great videos.

You're going to put 2 heaping table spoon full in a cigarette cellophane wrapper, press it and bake it. There are tons of threads on this site, to make hash.

1, get kief
step 2-pack keif
first-you need wet newspaper,or wet papertowel, 4 ply thick, tape,cellophane(the clear ciggarrette packaging)and your keif.
second-put the keif in cellophane and roll it up like a joint,make sure its packed pretty good then tape it shut. Try to Square it up. Roll it with a rolling pin, a beer bottle or glass.
third-wrap the wet newspaper tightly around the cellophane and tape it shut.
step 3-bake keif
first- wet the newspaper.
second-bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. or 20 minutes at 300 degrees
third- press and compact the packaging thoroughly.
let the packaging cool and dry, and its good to smoke.

make sure the tape really sealed it up to keep it dry.

what he said, or you could just get a screen for your pipe/bong, and smoke it as is. you will still get high as a kite and its quick & easy.

I haven't had much luck smoking it but I smoked it in a blunt last time and it just got hard and wouldn't pull right

this is what i do. put it in the bottom corner of a baggie and add a drop of water(just to make it stick together i know its bad and can cause mold but i smoke it right after anyway and press most of it back out) and press it until it gets all stuck together then you can take it out and press it with your fingers some more and then ill usually run a lighter over it to get it nice and soft and press some more.

There is a thread on here where a dude puts it in a film cup, and presses a coin into
the cup to pack it.

We like to add it and mix it with some ground herb, and some honey oil.

extract the oil with gas. heat up oil in bowl, mix in the keef and ground herb. Work the glob with the heat - and you get a big black blob of - dunno call it "bronze" - lol

dude just load a bowl of green and put a straw end of kief on top....adds a nice lil flavor and kick as someone else had said...

Yea I already knew about that... I was more or less trying to find out if it's worth it to go and make the hash like some had suggested.... I'm a pretty heavy smoker and I have YET to try hash so I was curious.

To get the most out of HASH, you have to PACK it or bake it into a cake, so it smokes slow, from one edge to the other edge. If you put a flame to KIEF, it just goes POOF and burns too fast, not making enough or as much Smoke. It needs to burn SLOW.

I've got a crystal catcher - personally I'm keeping the crystals for when i run out of bud...not got loads of them, but I've got a nice thick layer of dust - (they take a while to gather up...so I like to give the grinder a good old shake once I've ground my bud simply to get more in there - the bud still packs a punch as well)

I press mine, got a pollen press off egay, works a treat.
Put it in the press leave it over night, I let it dry a bit tho after and it crumbles nice without lighting it..

Just throw a little on top of a bowl of bud.

Or use a little bud to put at the bottom of the bowl and fill the rest with kief.

I do that too, as we also have a hash press that we put some of the crystal in and cook in the oven.
