if i were you, i would like germinate/sprout them indoors,
then once they start getting pretty big get them outdoors

other than that, just leave the plants outdoor, water them, keep them in good soil.....
they will grow by themselves, thats how they were meant to grow.. outdoors
thats what i think at least...

Keep your plant on 14/10 for atleast 2 weeks before transfering outside. Then when you do, put it outside in the shade and trim it a little bit or even top it and hit it with a dose of high-N nutes to remind it that it's still in veg.

I was looking for an answer for this too man and I think this guy just answered it for us.

Hell and I'm from New England

haha thanks again bb420!

So keep it 18/6 then about 2 weeks before transplant, give it 14/10?

Also, your quote in your sig is awesome.

indoor and outdoor growing are completely different you really cant apply the same rules to outdoor as u do indoor...plus the sun is way more stronger then any hps so if u were to put them outside with 13 hrs of light...trust they wont flower until the days start getting shorter end of july -mid auqust you will see signs of sex

So Ive been tryin to obtain some answers to this question thats been boggling me

I am going to raise 45 seedlings under shop flouro tubes, 416 watts altogether along with two 10 watt UVB blue pet lamps, as I heard the blue spectrum increases females, keeps plants think and strong, and UVB helps the transplant to outdoors alot,

I am planning on vegging for 4-6 weeks or so, and planting outdoors in socal beginning to mid april maybe later,

problem is, socal NEVER gets more that like 14 or so hours of light, on june 21st.

Ive heard never to veg a plant under 16/8 or something, how am I going to transplant outdoor to an enviorment that in april and may that is like 13 hours of light, I dont want them flowering in july, I want to get some monsters, I'm outdoors theres no reason not to, and thats the reason I'm starting indoors, higher germ rate, longer growth ect. ect.

but this question is really stumping me and i cant find info, should I start at like 18/6 for the first like 3-4 weeks, then bring it down to like 16/8 or 15/9, and eventually 13/11

or should I only have high light the first two weeks of seedlings, then drop really low like 14/10 or so so that they are used to that being there normal vegetative light cycle, so they dont flower outside,

OR is the lumens in flouros MUCH lower than the sun therefore if kept in a lttle higher like 16/8, the lumens of 13/11 outdoors would compensate and they would continue to veg.

I will also be taking them outside during what would be there lights on time, and hardying them up to the outdoor sun,

I hope this all makes sense, I'm very analytical about this and you wont see me ask dumb questions that I can just find answers to by looking, atleast I hope not. because I'm looking.

that is my first post ever, just posted it like 2 days ago, ONLY one guy has been trying to help me out, but they're still kinda unanswered, LOCAL KNOWLEDGE WOULD BE GREAT, i really want to know what to expect in the stange socal weather of maximum 14 hours of light and 110 degree temps, BUT any help in general is appreciated, thanks everyone:peace:
Im in socal too bro, san gabriel valley area....and dont even tripp off there only being 14 hours sunlight at the most....i once was confused as fuck too about this, but under indoor lights its just best to get that 18/6 or 16/8 light cycle but outdoors, the plant does fine in the right season, weed has adapted over millions of years.... the sun is way more powerful then lighting so it makes up for the lost 4 hours or so i guess, and plus the amount of sunlight hours is the same everywhere in the world as in cali...ive already started my grow, i bring them under fluoros tho when the sun goes down just to get them extra light also to stay in veg, but in mid april im putting them outdoors for good, so wut you got planned sounds straight

I too live in SoCali, more coastal tho. I've done indoor and outdoor. Outdoor last year for the first time. My first went out mid april (clone), another vegged (fr seed) inside until June. I pretty much stick to a height rule of 2', then out she goes. I also harden off to keep her happy before going out full time. The april baby yielded better than june, but to be fair they were different strains. Quality was incredible, out crop much sweeter taste than inside. I'm hooked on outdoors now, it was less work dealing with artificial lights, and tweaking nutes, etc....add SoCali's rich soil and we're blessed with sweet crops. Good luck with your grow.
