It's been about 10 years since I last grew, I had 100 plants growing at a time, I moved to Amsterdam and left my lights to my buddy and I feel like starting growing again but I forgot the lighting that best suited for 24/7 growing. The one I have right now is a Verilux CFML27 lamp and light, I was just wondering if this would work for just one plant. I forgot everything about indoor growing go easy Please :) Thanks!

I'm pretty much a newb now, No idea on the nutes, but what is the cheapest, and fastest growing light there is?

Did you actually smoke so much you forget everything to do with growing? Because growing 100 plants isn't a walk in the park.. you gotta know your shit to set something like that up indoors.

Smoking makes you stupid, something we all pot heads got over, Yeah I had a set up in my basement using flourecent lights it was a couple lanes of them.

Sorry. I hate to do this but I just have to call you out on this one. Two lanes of 50 plants? That's a huge ass fucking runway of a room. I mean I'm sure rooms like that exist, but to turn one into a grow room... you're talking like a 20 meter long room, if they're crammed together.

And smoking doesn't make you stupid, stupid people (and smart people) like getting stoned. I don't know anyone who was smart, started smoking pot and then became stupid.

Tell us the truth now, you're 12 right?

i agree on the smoking doesnt make you dumb. Ive been smoking 10 years now almost all day everyday and i havnt changed a bit. if anything id say im smarter because i think things through better.

as for lights, how many plants do you want? if its oly a couple you can pick up a 100watt metal halide bulb and ballast for around $80-100 if you know the right people. that will get you throgh vegging. then you will need a good high pressure sodium bulb and ballast for flowering. maybe $100-150 for a 400 watt.

these are prices around where im from though in canada.

you sound fake.. if u dont know wtf ur doing be honest.. if you EVER had 100 plants PEROID, youd remember wtf lighting u was using.

Personally, don't believe the claims myself. However, it really does not matter because I personally don't think your a better or worse person whether you did grow or not. Point is you know jack now and would like some answers. For a one plant grow you will probably want to start with CFLs, 6500K for the Vegging state and 2700K for the Flowering stage. The "K" represent Kelvin which is the unit light bulbs use to measure their temperature or color. The lower numbers are simply more red while the higher ones are on the blue side. Lights themselves can be about 1" from the plant but issues arise with drying or heat raise it to 2-3". Most people germinate their seeds which is simply sprouting seeds in a medium they won't be grown in. Such as a cup filled with water, which they would be sprouted in and then hopefully moved to a much larger container with a new medium like soil. As it's your first grow I'd probably recommend Fox Farm soil in a bucket 5Gallons+ in size. Other questions post back, I may reply but probably not as I usually am just high browsing these forums and forget which threads I post in or loose intrest. Use the search feature though for more assured results.
