that is correct sir . its just like nirvana seed shop some people swear by them most people swear at them. my 400w is awesome and hey its fudgen 125$ shipped some might have a few bugs but 125 $ come on
Lumatek digi's are probably the best, most reliable, and wont cause RF interference on your phone lines.
I still use and Love magnetics. They are solid, simple, reliable, and Cheap. The only advatages I see with digis are the weight of the ballast, they weigh nothing compared to standard ballasts, and they dont have the massive start up spike that regular ballasts have. They are great if you want to spend the extra money, but IMO, magnetic ballasts are Great and I will continue to use them until they become obsolete by comparison. Thanks BC. I'm looking into one to purchase for some future projects. Ive just had such good experiences with my magnetic ballast...
Thats kinda what I am thinking. Thanks man.If it aint broke dont fix it, right?
not sure about htg ballastsi was wondering if anyone knows if htg supplys ballast are good quality and if they are noisy. i was lookin to get a 250 hps/mh system. also i was wondering if an electronic ballast would be better. i was also lookin at this system. To me it looks better quality. any help would be great, thank u much!

I ordered a 600W HPS Digital Ballast Light and reflector on 2/26. E-mailed them 2x asking for a tracking #. And have been calling. Can't seem to get any respons from them. My status still says processing.
I hear nothing but great things. Its been a week and I don't think it's been shipped. But I guess I'll keep calling.
Hey you maniacs! I ordered a 600 watt digital greenhouse HPS, and it is so light and when I set it up my temps in my tent went down 3 degrees. So I doubled my lumens by switching from my magnetic 400 to the digital 600, while lowering my temps. And the penetration of the 600 is INSANE!!i guess they just dont like fdd i ordered a 400hps(the cheap one) and it works awsome. its in my room and i cant even barely hear it and i have plastic trays within 2in of it without melting. the grow bags i ordered didnt come but i emailed them and they sent them right away
Talk to someone today. They are out of the reflector I choose. I downgraded and their shipping it today...Said it should be here mid next week
i am running 3 of their 600w digital ballasts. the 3 fans combined are probably in the same decibel range as my 6" inline 250cfm fan. the top plate is not snug on 2 of the ballasts, but they don't rattle when running. i agree with some of the posters in that i would rather have no warranty and not need one, than have a great warranty i use at least once. that being said, we are talking about light bulbs and water pumps. these things have a finite lifespan. they will eventually die. manufacture defects happen. i don't see how you can blame a retailer for manufacture defects, shipping damage, and normal wear and tear. that being said, i did have 1 problem with my order, in that the socket sets for the light kits weren't packaged with my order (i bought in-store on a very busy day). another was that i bought the wrong TDS meter. i e-mailed him, got a response in hours. i picked up my socket sets, and returned my TDS meters for a cash refund and got a smile and a thank you. i know of quite a few places what would make you jump through hoops for a $400 cash refund on undamaged items that had been opened, and even then usually charge you a restocking fee.
HTG does alot of business. alot of people are like me and won't buy anything that could point to a grow operation online. we buy those items in the store, and with cash. HTG isn't a guy doing drop shipping from his bedroom or college dorm. They are an established retail business who, like many before them, sell their items online as well. a business as specialized as HTG depends on return customers. it is not in their best interest to screw anyone or try to make a couple extra bucks on an individual transaction. Like most established businesses, it is more cost effective for them to go above and beyond their stated warranty and return policy and keep the customer happy.
i don't know what happened to justatoker, but 6 times does sound a bit extreme. but if you've had to recontact them 6 times over the same "completed" order, and they aren't trying to find a way to blame you, that's a testament to their integrity. to that point, however; i would guesstimate my online purchases, from various vendors and various product types, to be filled correctly with 100% working products the first time, maybe 75% of the time. 1 out of every 4 orders will be in error. the only way to ensure you're going to get everything you are looking to buy on the first try, is to go to the store and get it off the shelf yourself. that won't help the DOA ratio, however.
