Of course the Oort cloud works in reverse and hides US from the center of the galaxy. There must be billions of solar systems that do not know what night is. i like the idea of multiple Big Bangs... if it can happen once, it's likely to happen again at some point right? I used to didn't like the idea of parallel universes... but i guess assuming our universe is the only universe might be kinda like assuming earth is the center of the solar system. I could see black holes as worm holes that connect other universes... other dimensions is just beyond my ability to reason or hypothesize... theres enough stuff in this 'dimension' that science has barely scratched the surface. One thing that seems strange to me is that suns are obviously not the same as black holes... yet if we are aware of all of these black holes, why don't we seem to be aware of energy pouring out of anywhere... that energy must go somewhere. Perhaps it is transformed into the 90 percent dark matter that our universe is comprised of that we know so very little about.The reason why I say "known" universe is because there could be other big bangs taking place all the time... I believe dark matter is influenced gravity from a parallel demension created by black holes. I view black holes as effectively wormholes that connect different dimensions. This is My own (novel) hypothesis, and remember You heard it here first

I have thought about that very question myself. In a way I think it would depend on whether every solar system is formed similarly. This may not be the case, I do not know. I will ask an astronomer and get back to you. It is intriguing.
