Nice setup bro... only i would suggest is have your exhaust go up and out not up and then back down.... hot air rises...

I also agree with that statement although heat might be less of an issue for him because he has cooled lights in there. Other than that, ebb and flow is old tech but tried and true (other than disease issues). Good job. go to aeroponic next time, you will notice much difference in cleanliness and production.

if your exhaust ever goes down you need to use a booster fan. Think of it like this in your house if you have a dryer or even your furnace or boiler the exhaust is always going up, even if it is at a slight angle.

If you are planning on using hydroton i would not until you have determined the sex of the plants it is easier to remove a dead plant when it is grown in rockwool with plastic around it than to have to kill intermingled roots. (learned that one from experience) if you are growing from know sex clones though use the hydroton right away.

After plant sex is determined you can remove the plastic from the rockwool and then add the hydroton.

But i do have to say what you have going on is very impressive uncle sam must have been very generous to you this year

I have 2 strong inline fans to pull the hot air down and out into the next room. That should be fine right? Also, my plants are all clones coming from a friend. And some mentioned if I have mylar... Do you see something I should "mylar up" that walls are allready white.

in that picture where u have all the electrical stuff.. is their alot of eliectrical custom wiring that has to go on? or is it all just plug in and your ready to go?

Yes this is my first grow room, and yes I am 22, and the wiring, well I am an electrician so that was a must. I can't help but make wires look pretty. It also helps when things arn't all cluterd. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys. I have had a couple ppl say "I would of done aeroponics in there". Why?

very very very good. that is better than peoples grow room that have been doing this for along time.

its cool that ur 22 as well. i am 22 myself and could never put something like that together unless i had loads of time.

only thing i would say, is clean up the mess on the floor, lol. and come round to my house and do mine.

LOL, ya I know its a lil messy from the work. I have since swept it. I am an electrician and there are usually laborers there to clean up after us. I guess the general contracters dont want to pay a 45$ an hour electrician for the same job a 9 dollar laborer will do.

Time wise, it took me about 15-20 man hours. So ya, I have put some time into it. I am out of work right now (damn economy) so I do have loads of time to tweak it just right. But who know, maybe I wont have to find work if this goes right.

are u from the states? if not and ur from the UK maybe i could ask a few elec questions as im still learning M&E myself. im a junior m&e consultant, just looking for more knowledge.

it doesnt matter if your from anywhere else except the UK because regulations and everything else is different.

Yes, I am red, white and blue all over. Electricity is the same all over but the colors and codes differ. Here, I ran 2 20 amp circuits to run everything. Lights, fans, pumps, timers... I would like to help but because of where we live I dont know how much help I could be but I'll give it a shot. Let me know. -Mike-

to be honest some might not matter.

wiring fans - i havnt tried to wire any fans up before but im quite posstive i can wire a PC fan to a plug. is it the same with a bigger fan but on a bigger scale or is other things different?

if ive got a 600w HPS and a couple of 125w cfls. well last time my 600w went into a timer with a relay built in and then that went along an extension cable (which was capable of the loads) into a surge protector. - dont really know what that does but it seems to be working fine. is there anything i can do there to keep my elec bill down and still be safe? oh a fan on a timer was also hooked up to the extension.

I wish I had the space. That's 4 times the setup I have going right now. Those panasonic fans are great. I'm rolling with one of those fans and the 600lumatek also.

I'm in week 6 right now and I'm doing great with 1/4 the setup you have. You're going to have some great harvests if you do things right.
