Just like Choppersforlife said, The ''patient'' rights you down as there primary caregiver.

In Oregon. You can have 18 Plants, 6 of them adults, and 18 ounces on you.

right on dank, i have my card and i had the option of putting someone down as a care giver,I dont need one, but that does'nt mean the caregiver can grow medical marijuana at there house and bring it 2 you, you have to b at the house with the patient who has the card to help them. and yes i know what the fuk i am talking about, 4 the people who seem to think i dont

you dont need a card the person applying for a card puts you down as a primary caregiver to help them with the process of helping them with there medication
Dude, really,
My wife first got her script, and I heard the same thing you just said. perhaps what county you are in makes a difference, but I just want people here who read what you said to know that in the vast majority of California and other States with Med programs, this is just an Urban legend. I really tried to get my wife to make me her primary caregiver, and the things you have to do to become a non-scripted deliverer of pot is not possible, at least here in SoCal. Then, under this tiny loophole, you could only buy pot for the person under the same restrictions they can buy, and in the few places you can do this, you have to prove to a judge that this person is completely unable to leave their house to purchase weed, and that there is no delivery service available to them.

Dude, if you know for a fact I'm wrong...well, you know something that I, Norml, and the ASA don't. Sure, if your spouse/mother/child is dying and can't leave the house, you can get a special clause invoked for you to go to a cannabis club and buy weed. Hey, if you can convince a friend to be bedridden for a few years, and scam a doctor into believing your friend has a horrible terminal, debilitating disease, you can get the right to go into a pot store and buy marijuana.

Is that even an option worth pursuing?

Dude, really, tell me, because I was there when my wife first signed up, and the folks at t eh doc's office laughed when I asked them about primary caregivers without prescriptions. In LA, there isn't such a thing, or at least, they are hiding it from me.

You might live somewhere else and what I'm saying doesn't apply. Sorry. Laws are crazy.

Interesting topic...

Truth be told, I have a good understanding of local and state laws at this point. You DO need a med card to grow anything to begin with. Its picky about the maturity of plants and amount of bud stashed away, but 12 plants is cool here, 99 in the tokin capital of the state.

Yeah,
Sorry if it gets confusing from location to location. I just hear people talk about Caregiver Status, and I just wanted to say that it's not as easy as all that. Like Choppers said, it's different all over--I was just talking about my own experience with it, and got carried away...That is the one true thing about Medical MArijuana--it's almost impossible to know exactly what's going on.

it does get crazy......

my county allows 30 plants/ 3 lbs. if i wanted to take some to another county i would only be able to carry 8 ounces. that's the state limit. if i was taking it to a county that allowed 2 lbs i would have to make 4 trips if i was crossing thru certain other counties.

Yup, those are the numbers where I am. The cool thing is that my wife is a patient as well, so we can have twice that amount, although I'm happy just with small grows, so I can give each plant the TLC it needs to give me the best THC it can make. In SoCal, you can have up to 8 ounces of dried flower, as well as 6 immature,6 mature. Not sure what I'd do with a half pound of pot, but I'd love to get the chance to find out.:blsmoke:
So do you need a growers liscence or just your patient card to grow the 6 mature and 6 immature plants? Sory I'm a little slow right now, haha.

just a patient card, amount vary from county to county check google for your counties current amounts as they change offten. I'm in a good one where we're allowed 24 mature plants and 1lb. of dry no limit on unmature:)
