what vinegar u havin a fukin laff maybe fur yur fish n chips but not ure precious pot man ats a dumb dumb hing to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nobody listen to him i suggest buyin garden lime adding minimal amounts over time as u water ure plants and check with cheap ph indicator papar till rite level is obtained this way u can t under nor over do it!!!!!!!!!!

u want soil to be 6.8-7.1 so water it with 7.0-7.2...i water till i get just a lil bit of run off from the holes at the bottom of the pot and then ph test it with a ph meter..i found out that whatever my ph was goin in it would always b lower after it goes through the soil and drained out

vinegar has always werked great for me for ph down. for ph up... i add more distilled water

try to get ur ph right 1st but if u need a lil ph up or down after try not to use very much but u should b fine

ya just buy a meter at the store and use vinegar to lower it and baking soda to make it higher
I have a quick question about my aeroponic set up.. I started the pH in my reservoir at 5.5. It moves up during the day to around 7.5. I switch a gallon of 7.5 water out with 5.5 but by the end of every day its back up to 7.5 or higher! Please help. This is not where I want my pH to be and I need some assistance. Can someone please tell me how to keep my 6 gallons of hydro water to stay at pH 5.8-6.0 without having to adjust it twice a day?

I got Fox Farms ferts, and it says to feed nutes with every other watering. So do I (we) pH test after we add the nutes but prior to feeding the MJ? I bought pH UP and pH Down. I wish I had known about the baking soda and vinegar thing before shelling out 20 bucks for both combined

pH up and pH down work great.... but use small amounts. The bottles I bought will last me about 10 years or so...lol

So I take that to mean that if I'm feeding, I mix the nutes w/ the water, test the ph and adjust w/ ph+/- before feeding. If I'm not feeding, I test the water's ph and adjust with ph+/- before watering.Bump up for an answer! I want to know this too.

this question was ask earlier but nobody gave it a DIRECT answer.
IF the plant read 5.5 and i need to raise it up to 6.5 .. another 1.0 PH UP. do we need to make something that'll give me 1.0+PH and add it into the plant or does something as strong as 7.2PH of water pour into the plant will raise it up exactly at 7.2 ph??

Good info in this thread. I think someone asked this already, but I didn't catch an answer. If you water with correct PH but the soil PH is still high or low, how do you correct the soil? Is it just a matter of watering again? And should you wait until the plant needs watering again, or do it right away? I'm always paranoid about overwatering because I know that's a major noob mistake.
