if they are the starting leafs but you have true set of leafs then that's natural.

Well its day 9 and the germinated seeds i made yesterday all worked so i planted them and put em in the box and i got a thermometer and the box is about 80 degrees ferenheit. Also the yellowing on the leaves is still happening on two of the seedlings which worries me but on the biggest one its looking fine and dand!!!!!!!! HAPPY DAY!!!jk

So its day 10 and one of the plants is looking rlly good the other two not so much cuz they have alot of yellow on the leaves but the 4 that i ha germinated and planted yesterday look good and all but one are above ground and actually looking rlly good! the temp is around 78 to 80 degrees in the box. Thnx to all who reply and give their info/ opinions!!!!

Yeah man i would say the heat is perfect. I do keep my seeding in a humidity box with the lights of for like 3 or 4 days personally get all mine to pop out of the soil within 2 days.. but good luck man and all be keeping my eye on this thread.. cheers

i love close space setups
i gonna try grow in the boot of my old car next
try putting some clear plastic cups on them
it worked real well for my clones and seedlings
my temps are a bit higher but it just slows them down a touch
cant do much about it
what soil r u using?

I am doing my first CFL as well man, yours seem to be coming along well,
The first seed i planted never sprouted, so i put four more in to germ, back to the drawing board for me

After trolling rollitup for a few days I had to join! Everybody here is so awesome.

I'm planning on starting my own CFL grow very soon and it's very cool to see your day-by-day progress.
Please keep this thread updated I can't wait to see what happens!

Before messing around the grow continer ? Did you get the seeds germanated on a papper towl.if not i would take them out of the lighting and cover the top of the cups with clingfilm spray the seeds with a mixture of water ph 5.5 and 1 ml of superthrive per ltr.this would have speeded thing up ten fold.i would give it another few days then if nothing still hasn't happened carefully poor the soil onto a tray retrive the seeds and germanate tham on wet papper toilet roll kitchen towel any thing. If you have done this and they are still not shohwing give them some of the water above keep the soil damp.why didnt you look how to germanate.the problems with just putting seeds in soil is the root might come out of the top whitch means it has alot of work to do to get the seeds head faceing up.

Didnt get the chance to update yesterday but today the seedlings have shown some definate growth. Two of them have a few more sets of leaves. I used a better camera and took some more pics. Here you GO!

I used just some real good quality soil that my mom bought that has lots of good stuf in it lol

Yeah i germed in a paper towel and put it in a plastic bag and then put it in a small box and placed it in my grow box to keep warm. 100% of mine germinated within 3 days!! But as far as the ones that I planted and never sprouted im not worried about cuz i have six sprouted and i just have a small grow area anyway.

Also I would recomend germinating bcuz the ones i did germinate grew to the size of the ones I didnt in like a day. They grow alot faster!!!!

Hey im using flourescents for my first grow, this is 3 weeks in from seed, what you think. 2x 24" T5 Flourescents blue spectrum.

what kind of cfls are u using? those look more near the 2700k area. u should be using 6500k daylight fullspectrum. i think they are the same price. it will make a big difference on the growth rate

Those look hella good for 3 weeks cuz mine are two but im not growing hydro which is faster but wat wattages are your lights. Also make sure your lights arent more than 3 or 4 inches away from the plants so they will get nice and bushy, but yeah those look really good for 3 weeks. Did you grow from seed. If so, how old from seeds are they???

Yeah i know man i am using just the for 42watt 2700k cfl's right now cuz they were cheaper and easier to find but when they get a lil bigger im also gonna plug in two 26watt 6500k and one 27watt 2700k. They are growin a little slow though any ideas???
