Ask awy bro !
Sweet!

I'm just wondering if I water my soil mix and it pretty much runs straight through is that good or bad? I have a mixture of perlite, peat moss, potting mix and a little sand. Whenever I pour in my water it pretty much just goes straight through to the saucer. I wait and see how much ends up in the saucer but usually sucks it back up and I add another cup. I mean they look pretty healthy and all but I'm just wondering if its a good thing or a bad thing??

Cheers

too much drainage can be bad if you dont have the medium to soak up water !
BUT...this just means you got to water more often !
Best way to check is pick up pot when dry ! Thats your dry wieght add as much water as it will take then pick it up again....wet wieght !
Always check "wieght" to see if it needs water ! - this is what I do for all my clones and seedlings ! untill to big to pickup and by then you get to know your plant !

Ok thanks eza.

One more if I may, is it a bad idea do you reckon if I were to prune some of the small lanky lower branches on my plant that is in week 5 of flowering do you think?
Thanks

I personally DONT TOUCH MY PLANTS.... ( ONLY LIGHT TIES) NO PRUNING TRIMMING LEAF SNIPPING ! JUST LET HER BE ! IF THE LEAF DIES COMPLETELY IT WILL FALL OFF ANYWAY !... IF IT DOSE NOT COME OFF WITH LIGHT TUG THEN THE PLANTS NOT FINISHED WITH IT !

A while back posted some pictures of my plants that were a bit lanky and people started jumping on my back about pruning the crappy lower branches as they don't produce that much bud. I personally have never done it as yet but I think most of my bottom branches never do produce that much bud anyway, but I worry that if I were to start pruning that I might stress her and turn her hermie.

Lower branchs are different altogether.. sometimes reffered to as sucker branchs.... lower branchs usally dont get the light and produce little buds....it is said by trimming them off you will help the remaining buds get more nutes... IMO - the only time I take lower branchs is when Im taking clones!.. I wont cut a branch off for the hell of it ! Let the plant sort it out !.....

Leaf.... when dead pull away !
(plenty of other opinions out there....IMO; .. plants are naturally occouring and there life is to exsist and flower and seed..... so give it what it needs in way of good light, good soil, good fertz.... she will do the rest !)

Where dose it say NO NITROGEN ?? ill hVE TO HAVE ANOTHER LOOK ???!!!

SODA WATER???? i have heard of this.... but why would you ?? Some peopl say adds more co2 to roots ???= roots dont take up co2 ! Adds oxygen = let your soil dry out alittle more and thats is BETTER or oxygenate your water for 24hrs prior to feed with air stone !! The sugas and other chemicals are BAD for the plant in the doseage..

Use tap water or natural rain water if you got it ! let tap water sit for 24hrs to let chlorine evaporate (IMO in my area I dont need to...though I never have anywhere else ethier ! but people say it helps if you have HARD water ! ) And sterilize rain water = it will create alge QUICKER than tap water ... )

i have just always used the HOSE aplactor you get and attach the hose, turn tap on ,away you go... it will dilute for you no mixing !

Was doing some google search on seasol and came across this post as i wanted to add some to my crop, just wondering, u keep stating that there is a high amount of phosphorus, but on the packet it actually says that there is virtually none. Im wondering if your looking at another product?

Didnt relise that this was a 3 year old post and the recipe was proberly changed.
