leaves on the bottom, they've been yellow for a while

a bag seed plant, i vegged it for like 2 weeks but had some problems, it was growing slow (2 inches in 2 weeks) and then leaves started drooping and the leaves started turning yellow from the bottom up, so i laid off on watering and cut the first set of leaves off because they looked 99% dead.. well i vegged for like 5 more days after i cut the bottom two leaves then put it on 12/12... it's been 12/12 for 10 - 20 days, it's about 9 or 10 inches and is growing great but the 2 bottom sets of leaves still are yellow, what should i do?

I've had that happen to most of my plants, the leaves may have touched the soil and gotten some nutrient burn or maybe you misted or spilled water on them and the lights magnified it and burned the leaves. As long as the rest of the plant is growing good just leave em or trim them off. Also, pictures tell a thousand words *hint* :)

It needs nitrogen, you should have added it before flower, but thats okay. Just give them a good all purpose fertilizer or dilute piss in water, as it is high in ammonacial nitrogen. Dilute 1part piss to 7 parts water. Or for a stronger version 1:4. Lamp.

i started putting 10 54 10 schultz fertilizer in there... the bottom two sets of leaves are still yellow but the plants growing faster.... i assume this will be fine.. i put 1/4 teaspoon in every gallon and a half

I've tried everything to get this strain of mine to not turn yellow from the bottom up so early during 12/12, but sometimes it's just the genetics of the plant.
My "dogpaint" strain is two years old and inevitably starts turning yellow within 2 weeks of entering the bud-euphorium and shed's freely by week 5 . . . until there's pretty much nothing by bud and associated small foliage left at harvest.

Week 5 is barely okay. How big of pots are you using, sounds like they arnt getting enough nitrogen in flower to establish chloroplasts, also could need more mag in flower, Lack of P in flower can also look like N def. lamp.

i'm guessing the 10 54 10 is the content of nutrients...the first 10 is your nitrogen..which isn't much at all..

Thanks for the ideas. Only thing is, other strains, being grown under exact same regime (HimalayanGold/DutchPassionBBerry) aren't yellowing/shedding until wk 5, or so, and this "dogpaint" strain has done this (yellow@ 2/shed@ 4) every grow for almost 2 years.
Like clockwork, healthy as can be from veg, into 12/12, where pistils show in 5-7 days, then within another week/10days, yellowing.

My pot sizes depends on phase when going 12/12. Bigger plants (2+ft) I'm finishing in 2-3 gallon pots, depending on density of foliage. Under 2-600W hps in 8X5 w/9' ceiling.
