Hey guys..this is my official Nirvana AK48 grow log.....first things first,Ima post some info about this strain:

This easy to grow plant is of medium height and produces good yields quite quickly. Extremely STRONG odor and smoke. Take extra care for odor control when growing near neighbors. The name was given not out of any idea of violence, but more in association with the one hit wonder that the smoke is. Quality without compromise makes AK suitable for commercial grows or home use. These plants have a short flowering period for a sativa, producing compact, not too leafy buds that gleam with a coat of resin crystals. Winning SEVEN prizes!! in Cannabis competitions, including second prize for the Best Sativa in the 1999 High Times Cannabis Cup, prove AK-47 is a favorite to smoke as well as to grow.

So far,they are all 2 weeks old..and I will post pics nearly every day.....




They are in a coco coir/perlite mix,and I water ever day with Alaska Fish Fert+Maxicrop SeaWeed.....I also water every other day with superthrive.

I had some problems aboput a week ago,my plants either got nute burned or a deficiency....well heres the pics,and people are more than welcomed to ask questions and comments.....

so how are they lookin' for 2 weeks?? i have 2 400 hps lights...but Im not sure if I should use them to veg?....what do ya think?

am i supposed to feed with the fish emulsion and liquid seaweed?....every day?or just every other watering?

Im asking becuase im treating it as hydro...so is it nutes every watering,or nutes,water,nutes,water,etc?

i feed every watering witch is every 3 days.as for the light you can run a mh bulb in that ballast no problems. i would do that before i ran a hps. they look reallygood. good luck

ima water them later tonight....theyr growing nice and healthy,but rather slower than I thought....theyr currently under the t-5 in the pics....its 110w,2ft 2 bulb system....
each bulb is 54w and putts off around 5,000 lumens..the light is ultra blue with 6500k...so should i use the 400 hps..or just veg with the t-5..if i put them under the hps..will they grow ALOT faster than under the t-5?

wat ya boiz think about my plants?ima take some pikz later cus theyr bigger now.....Im kinda stuck between if I should top or not?and if i should move under the 400w hps..or leave under the t-5..theyr not growing as fast as Id like..so will the 400 do the trick?

the thing is i dont have a mh light right now..just the hps..i have the agromax however,which producxe 30% more blue light...the whole thing is if i do run the hps instead of the t-5,it will be alot more work...i dont have any inline fans,ducting,etc...so keepin the closet cool will be a daily struggle....I was just thinking about leaving the door open,and having alot of osciallting fans in there,will this suffice?

Also,I dont have any means of light prevention once the lights go off...the t-5 are 24/0..so i dont have that problem right now.....would the 400 hps be worth it in terms of vegging with it?

you can get a mh bulb and run in the hps ballast . you can run the hps it will be better then the cfl's but not as good as a mh. good luck

Here they are in 3 weeks..I just took these pics today...I really want to move them under the 400 hps to veg them faster.I also plan on topping soon,and once I clone them,I will flower.

So who actaully reccomends moving them under the 400 hps?...or just continue vegging under the t-5,which pouts off 10,000 lumens?

Also,once I top,how long does it take to start growing the side shoots?

I would. Even though cfls and t-5s are good for veg your plants will grow bigger and faster with that 400 w
