First time growing with cfls

Alright i got my digi back so heres a quick update.. Not to many pics cuz lights just went off but heres what i got

Thanks alot man! Yeah im trying to figure out how to set up some side lighting.. There are so many so close together that only the first row would get the light... SHould i do that and just rotate the plants so each row will get the side light once every 4 days? Any other ideas??

See how the plant in pic 2 is growing?? That was my latest lst job im gonna use it as a model for the clones.. U think that looks like a good way?? It went into flower at 3 weeks

Check out near the end of my grow i just added 4 bulbs hanging from cords and i rotate my plants all the time keeps me busy and the plants even . I pick them up to feel their weight everyday so i just spin them half way and shuffle them all around! I think the four bulbs i added did alot for my lower branches:) an extra 100 watts and 6400 lumens near the bottoms for 15 bux at walmart!

Ok so ill lay it on you guys straight up.. I smoked a whole plant and my closet has had a light leak for the entire flower period...

First off the plant.... I was the smallest of the group dried weight only 3 grams.... I was jonesin pretty bad and a good 60 percent of the HAIRS were red. I dont have a scope so i dont know about the trichs... No lie tho this plant looked done super small but done.. It wasnt all leafy it actually looked and felt like buds...

Secone off the light leak..... I thought i had it all darked out perfectly but i was wrong.. I had to make a quick trip into the room during the dark period but i knew where to find what i was lookin for so i went in and closed the door.. I fumbled around looking fo rwhatever for about a minute when my eyes started adjusting to the dark and i noticed the ora of light coming from the cracks around the doorjam and the fact that i could see the outlines of some of my plants..

Now i am suspicious that my two fuckups were related..... Is it possible that the light leak caused this one to finish prematurely?? This plant was kept closest to the door thus receiving most of the light leakage... It didnt have any signs of hermie either?

Thats what i was afraid of... I hope i just dont know what im talking about and it wasnt ready to chop because 3 grams off a plant just doesnt cut it in my book. Im plan to veg the clones for a while so they will be way bigger next time.

the hairs can tell a different story than the trichs . i had some nugs go brown and i chopped them then similar buds kept growing more white hair! i lost a ton of weight from all nugs i chopped early!

MurderAlley, I just read your entire thread... intense. I am trying to get things ready for my grow (just waiting on my seeds) . Going through everything you have over the past few months, do you think i should just go for an HID and skip the CFLs? I feel like if i'm gonna end up there anyway, why not just start with it now...?

h.i.d.s are always going to be better lights but cfls do a fine job and are great for learning! cheap and easy to find... if you have the room and the money go for hids ...this coming from an all cfl grower! (soon to be dabbleing in hids)

Hey cane thanks for checkin it out! Simply put, if u have the money and space go for the H.I.D. The cfls have worked well for me but they were used because i only had around 60 bucks to work with.. I am happy with the result but i can guarantee i will get even greater results once i purchase an hps or mh ....If u are working with a tiny space nothing can beat Cfls though and i still plan to use cfls and fluoros in veg cabinet:hump::hump:

I was thinking about it, my buddy uses a 250w metal halide all the way thru and with one of those plus all my 2700k cfls it should be a good combo, great for 12/12 from clone
