actually... you're wrong.. it will give your plant problems if it has sodium and all the crap in it... but if you get NO SODIUM Seltzer Water and make sure it has all 0's in the nutrion box, it won't hurt the plant... the plantroots are suppose to benefit off of the CO2 and the bubbles helps loosen the dirt around the roots, which gives it more oxygen....i've done it before... i didn't give it seltzer everytime.. i would give it water one time.. then seltzer the another time... i did it because i read about it in an experiment done with houseplants (i know they're not the same, but lets be realistic, they're plants)... one was giving rainwater and the other Seltzer Water... the one with Seltzer Water grew healthier than the one with rainwater, because of the reasons i stated above.... plus plants including MJ don't really absorb many of the things we put in the water, it absorbs small amounts...supposedly the bubbles in seltzer helped them absorb them way better.... so i tried it... and truthfully... i couldn't tell.. so it didn't hurt the plants... but its not like i did an experiment comparing one plant to another... next time i'm gonna get a case of the Seltzer Water in cans because once you open one in a bottle, it goes flat after you try to use it later on... but its up to you if you wanna try it, nobody says you have to try it.... but the people who claim the plants can't take Seltzer Water or that its pointless, are not speaking from experience for from doing any research... its their opinion, not fact...

seltzer is not beneficial in any way for healthy plants if you are going to foilar feed then use the right gear.

Foliar Feeding
Foliar feeding ((Nitrogen fertilisers are usually NO3 (nitrate) or NO2 (nitrite), substances which are also used to preserve food. They have been shown to undergo reactions to form carcinogenic substances (nitrosamines). As with eating food treated with nitrates and nitrites (hot dogs, sandwich meats, etc.), there is a possibility that such substances might be ingested by eating or smoking foliar-fed plants.)) (spraying the leaves with fertiliser) is a good way to give the plants nutrients without building up the amount of soluble substances in the soil. After the first month, foliar feed the plants with, for example, fish emulsion or a chemical fertiliser. Use any fertiliser that states it can be used for foliar feeding even if it says "not recommended for foliar feeding houseplants." Use a fine-mist sprayer, such as a clean Windex or Fantastik bottle. Dilute the fertiliser according to directions (fish emulsion at one tablespoon per gallon) and spray both sides of the leaves. When foliar feeding, you should spray the plants with plain water the next day, to dissolve unabsorbed nutrients and clean the plants.
Foliar spraying is also a good way to treat plants suffering from nutrient deficiencies. Some nutrient deficiencies actually are caused by the soil's chemistry, rather than by the absence of the nutrient in the soil. Addition of the necessary nutrient to the soil may not cure the plants' problem, because the nutrient becomes locked in the soil, or its uptake may be limited by high concentrations of other elements present in the soil. Foliar feeding is direct, and if the plant's deficiency symptoms do not begin to clear up, then the diagnosis is probably incorrect.

never said foliar feeding... i said to water the plants with it... and like i said.. it was a study done and i did it for myself... and also, i stated that plants can't take many of the stuff we put into the water... when they used NO SODIUM seltzer water, it helped the plant in getting more vitamins... foliar feeding is a different thing... if you're going to foliar feed, i agree, get the proper stuff... but you were wrong in stating that a plant can't beneft off of seltzer water...
